Charles and Wayne entered the police station. They knew they had to act fast. Steve had Wayne on camera, and he was more than happy to let everyone know that he knew.
“We need help trailing Steve. I think we better reach out to someone to help track him,” Carlos suggested.
Wayne agreed. They spent the morning asking colleagues for assistance. One after the other, the two officers were turned down. The department was overstretched, and people were overworked. No one wanted to take on a new case. Carlos and Wayne were getting desperate.
