It was a sunny day, and Steve was in a great mood. The newspapers had a field day with stories of the killer associate dean. There were dozens of stories in every major newspaper across the world. A few journalists had already shopped around book proposals to editors at various publishing houses. Steve sat in his kitchen and enjoyed reading the stories about Jane. He could not stop smiling. He decided to go for a run around Brickell. He felt like he could run five marathons. His arch-nemesis was gone, and her reputation was ruined forever. Nobody would ever remember Jane for her scholarly accomplishments. Her great teaching evaluations would never be brought up by other faculty at the law school.
