Chapter 4 - She Is Not A Fair Maiden

YouYou was looking out of the window when she saw a familiar face on a billboard.

It was XueRou Tang.

In the last five years, she had absolutely no idea how XueRou has suddenly gotten so famous. She used to be an art school student with no connections, and suddenly she quickly became a popular and famous female artiste, she was most even well known as the fair maiden.

Fair Maiden? Hur.

YouYou gave a mirthless chortle from the bottom of her heart.

From what she knows of XueRou, she was nothing fair nor maiden. In her college days, she have been changing boyfriends as if changing clothes, when she entered arts school, she was famous for having the airs of a second generation rich folks, thus her arts school life was very colourful and decadent. Despite all that, she became this fair maiden in the eyes of men. Nothing is fair in this world, YouYou concluded as she hugged her two children tighter. She has long decided to let go of whatever past grudges she had as her only focus now is to properly raise her two little rascals. Other than that, she really has no other wishes.

Her two little rascals seems to be a little worn out, they leaned on her with their eyes drooping. XiaoNai could not resist the Z monster and quickly fell asleep. On the other side, XiaoRui, though feeling equally tired, refused to give in and powered on like a soldier. He understood that later on mummy needs to carry his little sis, so he must stay awake to help with the rest so that mummy won't be too tired.

"Mummy, that skyscraper is soooo tall!" exclaimed XiaoRui suddenly as he pointed at the lone tall building in the middle of the city, appearing outside of their car window.

YouYou gazed in the direction where he pointed and indeed, amongst the various buildings, two tall skyscrapers appeared tall and proud, as if reaching towards the sky, with it's many opened aired bridges that spans between the two buildings, it was so majestic to behold.

"Yup, it's so tall and so so big, truly majestic." YouYou smiled as she replied her son.

"How I wish we can go and visit this building." XiaoRui wished with all his innocent little heart.

YouYou chortled as she gently ruffled XiaoRui's hair and said, "That is where people go to work, it's not for us to visit like tourists." At that, XiaoRui's heart sank and his pretty little lips sank a little too.

This majestic skyscraper, is the Empire World, it symbolises the wealth and authority of the owner to be able to build something majestic wherever he wanted to.

Right around the same time, in front of Empire World, a silver coloured Pagani limited edition sports car pulled into the lobby of the building. A beautiful and elegant young lady in a fish tail gown, with her head of wavy wine red hair, stepped out of the car. In her 7cm high heels, XueRou glided gracefully across the high end red carpet towards the elevator. She pressed the button to 66 floor and in her heart, she thought to herself that she must see XiaoHan Ji and invite him to her birthday party tonight. XueRou swept her beautiful hair and deliberately arranged it neatly to her right bosom, revealing her fair and long neck, she have been in the entertainment circles long enough to know what men love to see.

The personal assistant of Empire World's CEO, pushed open a set of heavy wooden double doors to the CEO's office to allow XueRou to enter. The bright and spacious office is furnished with a black as ink office desk in the middle of the room and the entire room is decorated mainly in black, white and grey, the cold and hard setup matches very well with owner's own personality. The moment XueRou entered, her beautiful eyes was only focused onto the man behind the desk, seated in a relaxed yet mighty manner. The man wore a typical business suit paired with a smart black shirt, and exuded elegance yet at the same time a sense of mystery.
