What Happened?

Carrie's POV

He didnt show. We waited for two days in our room and he didnt show up. When we finally came out, we learned of the attack and that he was sequestered with his mate... not with us...

I threw my picture of him and I onto the ground, shattering the frame before I wept, cleaning up my mess. He had, obviously, chosen his mate over us and I would find a way to make both of them pay.

Libbys POV

I finally was allowed out of the room after four days of nothing but s*x. It was glorious, made me sore, but glorious none the less.

When our mating Mark's finished forming, they were beautiful and unique. Several women glared at me and Carrie's eyes narrowed and I could smell her anger from across the dining hall.

The alpha walked by, growling at Carrie when she didnt bow her head to him. I bowed my head as the alpha passed and he stopped, lifting my chin. "You are the gamma female, I see your mark is still forming though. You need not bow your head as a ranked member."

Carrie stood up, leaving her dishes at the table, she rushed away with a glare directed my way.

Breakfast was eggs and bacon, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy and I dug in as Daniel came to sit with me. "You ran out while I was getting dressed." he said in a pouty voice.

"Uh, yeah... I was hungry and wanted warm food this morning. No pouting, you kept me locked up almost all week and I am starving for warm food that isnt stew!" I told him.

He sighed as a kitchen omega brought him almost the exact same plate but the eggs had salsa on them. I immediately pouted, poking my lip out at him. "Salsa?" she asked softly and the omega hurried off to bring her the bottle of pace picante sauce.

"Now you're going to take my morning salsa too?" he whined softly into my ear.

Everyone at the table chuckled as coffee was brought around and served. I chose tea as did my mate. Marie was still rolling around in the back of my mind in pure bliss and I laughed softly. "You broke Marie." I told him as he snickered.

"Thunder is just rolling around with whimpers of joy filling the air around him." he retorted. "You broke Thunder."

We finally finished breakfast and went to the alpha's office to have the morning meeting. Alpha announced that his Luna may return this month and that we were having a ceremony to make me officially the gamma female.

I became excited, so did Marie as all official ceremonies ended with a wolf run. This ceremony would be on the blue moon as well so all pack members would be there for the celebration of the second full moon of the month.

Since it was my official commencement as gamma female and Daniels as gamma male, we could choose the colors and I chose a silvery blue that matched well with the pack colors that my mate chose. A seamstress would be by to take my measurements for a robe like dress that I would wear until the run at midnight.

Things were looking up and we were holding hands as we spoke to the other leaders about a meal. We both wanted steak and chicken, preferably bacon wrapped and asparagus with salad and apple pie for desert. The alpha playfully gagged as we were in tune with each other and the beta female Tawny was giggling as we were "So cute together..."

We finally were able to head to the gym and get a workout in. I was still sore from days of not working out properly and I stopped my inverted situps and growled at him. "My stomach still hurts from... other activities, Gamma." I snapped at him and decided to move to the floor for planking.

He simply chuckled and nodded. "My back too, woman." he teased back.

I finished my workout with a twenty minute speed walk and he boxed with that hanging bag for his last few minutes. "I have to report to morning training tomorrow," he told me as I fanned my shirt to cool down. "You can come with or sleep in. Morning training is optional for females."

I thought for a minute. "I'll come with you, try out training with the pack." I decided with a tilt to my head after I finished my water. "We should have smoothies now..." I pouted.

"If you were human, you would have to work out after each snack." he teased and pulled me close to kiss me even though we were all gross and sweaty.

I pouted up at him before he led us up the stairs to the kitchen where there were two tropical fruit smoothies sitting on the counter for us. I grinned and started sipping mine through the provided straw as I sat at the island. "The blue moon ceremony will be fun with a run after. Is Marie in shape?" he asked.

"Oh yes, we usually run in wolf form every other day. I need to get with Doc Chambers about a job when the honeymoon is over." I teased him.
