Freki's pov
Before I could respond, she was reaching for the door. I watched her walk away, my eyes fixated on her retreating figure.
My wolf was restless, agitated by her absence in a way that made no sense. I don't know what the deal with her is, but I was going to find out.
“Mate,” my wolf whined as he watched her leave. I couldn't just allow her stay in my pack, without carrying a proper check on her. The last mate I had f****d me up real bad. The worst part of it is that it was with my own brother.
I walked into the gym and went straight for the punching bags, hitting it with everything in me. There was so much pent up anger and frustration in that I knocked the punching bag completely off the hook. The Shadow pack and everyone involved will pay for every harm done. I could see it in her eyes, they must've tortured and broken her. At the same time, she could have been pretending.
Tyler couldn't stop ranting about how he thinks she has a role to play in the killing of her father. I grabbed the bag putting it in place, throwing more punches till my knuckles broke. Rage clouded me.
The bag tore and I smiled a sinister smile, satisfied for now. I headed down to my office to work. Before entering my office, a familiar scent hits me and sets my teeth on edge.
Freya was there again. I didn’t know how many times I was going to warn her about coming to my space. She never took heed. She had the mindset that I was going to mate her just because Tyler was her brother.
She had rejected her mate even when I clearly told her I wouldn't take her. Sorry to Tyler but she was a slut who craves power.
I took a few deep breathes to calm my wolf and myself down, he was snarling and ready to taste blood. She was sitting on top of my desk in a very skimpy red dress when I turned the knob. From where I'm standing, I could see that she wasn't wearing anything underneath. Her n*****s were poking against the dress. She gave me a sultry smile and crossed her legs. I looked past her and saw that she had made a mess of my desk, my papers scattered on the floor.
“You better have a good reason to be here.”
“Relax, Freki. I just thought to come check up on you” I dug my nails into my arms to keep calm.
“What gave you the right to call me by my first name? You will call me Alpha and nothing else. I've got work to do and I need you to get the f**k off my desk” I can feel my anger boiling inside me as my wolf threatened to surface.
“I'm sorry Freki, I just thought I could spend some time with you.” A low growl erupted from my chest and she stopped, startled.
“You will address my as Alpha else, I would let the chief warrior know that he would have a field day with you. He's been begging me to let him train with someone new.” My anger seeped into my words. I really wanted to grab her and toss her out of here but she was a woman. I at least had that much control. For now. I might loose control when I come in contact with her. I feel her staring at me but I ignored her, standing behind my desk.
“You are no longer welcome here without my permission. You never were.” I mind link my guard to come throw her out. I sat on my chair, arranging my desk when I looked up and saw her eyes shooting imaginary daggers at me. Her eyes were grey letting me know her wolf was present.
She kept staring at me with anger in her eyes. Knox took some control and rose to his feet.
“Kneel.” He said in an eery tone and she realized who it was, her eyes opening in shock. She drops to her knee trembling. Looking at her now, I could only help but be proud of myself for not touching her. Even at this moment, I could still smell the heat between her legs. Too bad it had no effect on me.
“If you try this again. I would have no option but to banish you from the pack. I would also ensure no one would want to be associated with you. Am I clear?”
“Yes Alpha. I promise to stay away.”
I watched her scramble to her feet as she practically ran out the door. The guards soon came and I instructed that he never let her in without my permission. He nodded ensuring the door was closed behind him as he stood outside.
My mind instantly travels back to the human wolf who is running around the pack. I groan out, instantly regretting it. The scent of her when she was in my arms clouding my mind.
Even at that, there was a dangerous feeling I had in my chest whenever I thought about her. There was something about her that I didn't know yet.
And the priestess couldn't provide the amount of information that I needed. Tyler's voice was constantly in my head, telling me that she was the cause of the multiple deaths in my pack.
What if he was right? And all this was a ploy of hers to get close to us just to create another chaos. She better not have that in mind, I would kill her before she lays a single hand on anyone.
