Forever Isn't Always

Chapter 5

She stood leaned over to me and laid my hands over my head.

‘’Hey, what are you doing?'' I asked startled

‘’Just stay still and trust me if you want answers''

‘’At least tell me what you're doing'' I asked. I needed to know what she was doing to my body.

‘’I'm entering your mind'' She said that as casually as dressing up. It was like she did that every day. I was about to say something back when I saw her eyes go all white and somehow I knew not to distract her, then she started mumbling some strange words.

Suddenly I blacked out.

I woke up in what seemed to be a forest, but it seemed to neat for that. It was like the trees and plants grew in a particular style. The trees sort of  grew in an arc, and the ground was covered with cushiony green grass. And all around me was decorated with flowered of different kinds and colors. There was no one nearby so I continued to roam around.  I eventually came to this small white fountain, it had purple flowers floating in it and the fountain's stone was beautifully designed with the roses and daises carved into it.

Suddenly I felt an icy hand on my shoulder an it felt strangely familiar. I turned around to see who it was and I came face to face with the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. If I had leaned in just a bit more, it would have resulted in a kiss. 

Looking closely I tried to remember who he was. The bluish- green swirls in his eyes but there was something in them that reminded me of ice, the red thin lips. The stern cheekbones and the silvery white hair. Then it hit me, it was the guy from my dreams. 

Oh my gosh, what was I doing hugging him? I was so stupid. I stepped back from the embrace and said   “So you're the one from my dreams”.

“Yeah, I'm the man of your dreams” he said that with a grin on his face.

“ Am I still dreaming?” I asked looking into his eyes, cause it felt like I was

“ Well, not exactly. You will remember whatever happens here unlike your usual dreams about me. It's not really a dream though, it is like a magical meeting in your mind”

“Why do you appear in my dreams?”“So that you could find me and learn the truth”

“And what's that?” I was now curious

“ I can't tell you here, it's not private. Meet me at taverns creek at dawn in two days”

Just as I shouted “wait!” He had disappeared. Just like that.

‘’Clara, Clara'' I heard a voice gently summoning me and I followed it. 

‘’Clara!'' I was woken up by the sound of Jasmine's voice.

‘’Jasmine?'' I was still a bit out of it and couldn't believe I had just had a real meeting in my mind. I can still remember! He was right.

‘’You remember, don't you?'' Jasmine asked

‘’Yes''

‘’Here, take this necklace-'' she said handing me a neckless with a brown rope. The pendant was tiny and silver in color and had green swirls just like the man in my dreams eyes'

‘’- it will protect you from any evil. Keep it with you at all times, you are going to need it.'' she continued

‘’Thank you, I think its time for me to go. My dad will soon be back'' I said

‘’I understand but just don't forget you owe me a favor. And don't forget your little friend here. She fell asleep in the sitting room'' she said

‘’Yeah, thank you'' I said and left

I walked down the hall way and into the sitting room. I found Lisa sprawled on the chair and snoring mildly. I felt so bad having to wake her up. She was sleeping like an angel.

‘’Hey Lisa! Lisa!'' I said, waking her up

‘’What?'' she said grumpily, then continued ‘’can't a girl have some sleep here?''

‘’Yeah, you can but when we leave here'' I said helping her get up.

When we were safely back on track to the palace, Lisa asked ‘’Did everything go right there?''

"Oh, yes. I met the man from my dreams in my mind. He told me to meet with him at dusk at tavern's creek in two days.'' I said smiling

‘’That's great'' she said and smiled back at me

Luckily we got back before my dad and were able to sneak back into the castle without anyone noticing.
