I woke up the next day with a hang over. My head was pounding and I could barely think straight, I was a bit comforted by the view on the ceiling, it was a view of the morning sun, the blue sky and the clouds.
I managed to sit up and saw a yellow-ish drink on my side table with a at itsnote side. I picked up the letter an smiled. Written in the note was John's cursive handwriting saying, ‘’For the headache I know you must have''.
I was surprised by how quick and effective it was, then I remembered his ability to heal. I got up from the bed to have a bath and was surprised to find that the water and everything else had been sorted. I wanted to wear the most comfortable thing I could for breakfast but everything in my wardrobe seemed extra. I settle for a green A line gown with rose sequins on it.
After dressing up, I walked to my father's room to find out what the plans were to save Ulaid. Raldolph may not be my father but he raised me and I grew up there so he was my father by heart and Ulaid was still my kingdom.
My father was reading a book on his bed and looked up as I entered his room. He had a gleaming smile on his face as he saw me.
‘’Good morning, sit down'' he said, still smiling and pointing to a chair near him. I sat down, It was cushony soft and very relaxing like a bed.
‘’Good morning dad'' I said smiling back at him.
‘’Did you have a great time last night?''
‘’Yes, I did but I had a terrible headache this morning. I was greatful John had something for it'' I said
‘’Yeah, Do you like him?'' He said
‘’I think I do'' I said and blushed
‘’He is a good man and I think he likes you too''
‘’Maybe'' I replied, I didn't want to seem like I was sure
‘’Yeah, breakfast will soon be ready I presume'' he asked questiongly
‘’Yeah, but I wanted to ask you something first''
‘’Sure, go ahead''
I didn't know if he minded me talking about my other dad but I decided to go straight to the point and said,
‘’I wanted to ask what the situation is between Asgard and Ulaid? Are you going to help them defeat Grant and your brother? Ulaid may not be your people but they are mine and I am worried for them.''
‘’I understand you-'' he said but I could see he was a bit hurt then continued ‘’-I am getting an army ready and John is going to be in charge of training you''
‘’Thamks dad'' I said standing up and giving him a kiss on the cheek and he smiled back
‘’What are you reading?'' I asked
‘’Nothing interesting. It's just some paperwork''
‘’Fae do paperwork?'' I asked in disbeleif
‘Of course, we have to sometimes. I mean, they aren't going to read or write themselves'' he said chuckling
‘’Who are you givig them to'' I asked.
‘’Well, to my mother. Your grandmother. Queen Helena. She acts as a median between Asgard and us, Faedome'
‘What of grandfather?'' I asked. His face seemed full of anger at the moment and I thought maybe I shouldn't have asked him that.
‘’He was killed'' he said standing up and heading out of the room when I said
‘’By who?'' If he was killed then who killed him I wondered.
He paused in his motion then looked back once to say,'' It was Alibe'' with a face that didn't seem like he wanated to talk so I shut up and let him leave without me asking anymore questions.
I stood up and went to Lisa's room, I knocked on the door and heard her say ‘’come in'' so I entered.
She was already dressed and looked like she was on her way out.
‘’Good morning''I said
‘’Good morning Clara, hope you had a nice time yesterday?'' she asked
‘’Yeah, though I woke up with a pounding headache this morning but John helped'' I said then continued ‘’what of you?'' I asked
‘’I did, though sorry about the headache. I danced a bit with a guy named Theo, he was nice. But I didn't stay up too late or drink cause of the baby''
‘’Oh…ok. You ready for breakfast?'' I asked
‘’Yeah, I was heading there now''
‘’Cool, me too'' I said as we walked out of the room towards the dining area.
‘’So you really like him?''
‘’John?'' I asked and smiled.
‘’Yeah, him'' she said smiling
‘’Well…I think so Lisa but I don't know.'' I said blushing a bit s we passed by his room and into the dining.
I sat down by on the left side of my dad and said to him, ‘’I'm sorry if I opened old wounds dad, I didn't mean to'' I said symathetically.
‘’It's ok. You needed to know some family history'' he said and smiled. He forgave me
