I had tried to keep a brave face on while Jay was here. I was never one who like falling apart in front of people, especially someone I just met. He already saw me break down after Lorenzo left. I closed my eyes, shaking off the heartbreaking expression on Lorenzo’s face before he walked out on me. I knew what I did was for his own good.
