~Lorenzo POV~ As suspected, I was left to languish in jail for the weekend. Neither Victor nor Ed found it necessary to bail me out. It was 8:15 on Monday morning when Officer Tripoli, a prickly old woman came down to the holding cell and shouted, “Mr Giordano…. Lorenzo Giordano. You’ve been released.” I was resting on the far bench away from the drunk man who had thrown up on the cell floor. I rubbed my eyes, awake and couldn’t quite believe that my two-day nightmare was possibly coming to an end. I quickly uttered, “I’m good? I can go?” She replied, “Yes. Charges have been dropped.
