Carmen’s screams had completely sobered me up. I don’t know what I said or did but all of a sudden, she became rigid and as she looked up at me, it was as if she could not see me, if that made any sense. She then started pounding at my chest. It wasn’t until she kicked me too damn close to the family jewels did, I give her distance. She then crawled up the bed, with her hands covering her head and face, knees to her chest, attempting to be as small as possible, crying with occasional outbursts of, “Leave me alone!”
I didn’t know what I was looking at or what I was supposed to do. One minute, we were making out with her finally letting me in and allowing herself to be honest with her feelings for me and the next she was like this.
