“ELLE’S POV” After that intensive event, naturally, they invited us inside and they told us a lot of things about the Mansion as we were approaching it. They told us who was the first to handle the Mansion and how it was handled. They also told us that there were punishments implemented to those who go against the rules of the Mansion. Well, that got me questioning. This is a Mansion! Who would come up with such idea of making up rules in a Mansion, what were the rules made for, and why were the rules made up? I fathomed how prestigious they are that the chaperones above are attentive enough to keep on guard for their masters even if their welcome were that delightful. Then suddenly, Mr. I-don’t-know-who raised up his palm as if it was giving a sign for a stop and we followed. It took minutes before he made another move and it was filled with silence. With just a simple close of his palm, each men which remained alert from the time we came until this point of time, just came to vanish all at once. My eyes widened in awe as I witnessed a scene I’ve never expected to see in any moment during my years of living. That was incredible! “Amazing, right?” Reed whispered to my ears with a smile covering all over his face and eyes fixated on the spots where the men in armaments disappeared. “Yeah, and I didn’t really expect that!” I exclaimed faintly to his ears. That kind of sound that only the two of us could hear the words. “And there’s more to see that you can spend your time with eyes wide open throughout the day.” The Mr. Of the House sounded in the middle of our conversation as he diverted his gaze behind him and took an eyeful to the two of us. After that, we continued our strolling through the gateway. While we were on our way, only this time I’ve seen the variety of trees that were lined up in a row in both opposite sides. I was too caught up in the situation that I totally forgot to get mesmerized with the beauty of the surroundings. Other than that, there were other plants, flowers, and herbs all around the field while others were planted along the cemented walls. I didn’t know there would still be a place like this and people who would still keep in mind to take care of nature. When we finally reached the front door, the Mister signaled one of his guards to open them for us. As we waited, I took the chance to let my eyes wander and take a glance in every detail that my eyes could see. One of the things that I have found catchy were the weapons displayed outside the house. There were daggers, swords, guns, even head of a lion and bear were there, which included a long and pointed antler. They are remarkably antique due to the textures, yet, just from their sightliness, it’s evident that they have been taken care of by them. After getting drowned in thoughts was the exact time that the door was opened for us. Then, there were two young girls wearing a dress for maids in polka dots garnished with flower colored white carrying trays with a glass of drink in each who immediately attended to us. They greeted us in happy tones as they approached us and gave us the drinks they brought with them. After the drinks were served, Mr. I-don’t-know-who told the two young gals to have a moment with him. I guess, this is the right moment to ask him about this mysterious man. “Reed.” I started the conversation and took a hold on his wrist. “Who is he?” I asked as I stared at the man still unfinished with his business with the young girls. “Shush. This isn’t the right time or even the right place to talk about that, Elle.” And he looked at me in a serious gaze. “Let’s wait until we get outside and I’ll tell you all that you want to know, okay?” he told me while nodding his head. I nodded with him and just cleared up my throat, turning on a serious gaze on the man. It took minutes before they were finish and after that, they guided us through a pathway which has a door with a big letter H in Gothic carved on the middle most part of it painted in blue. It’s obviously a room for VIP’S just by seeing and from the looks of its door. From all the other doors we passed from the entrance of this hall up to here, only this door has carvings on it. It is designed with sphere on the middle with craters on it, rays scattered around the sphere as if it is its beam of light, and few stars on its borders. “Past through this door, you’ll meet different people all over and outside the country. Once you reach the room you were assigned to stay, get dressed, refresh yourselves, and wait for these ladies to fetch you for dinner.” “U-uhm uh w-wait!” I called the Mister as he was about to walk away. Reed instantly gave me a questioning eyes as if he’s telling me not to ask what I just asked to him awhile ago. But this is my only chance, there’s no way I can interact with him this way right after getting inside the door behind us. “Is there anything you need a hand with, Ms. Elle?” he inquired casually and took a glance at my belongings. I did the same thing and that’s how I was able to grasp what he means. “Oh, no. No, it’s fine. It’s just, I got a question in my mind.” And formally gave him a smile. “Spill the tea.” “I just would like to know your name, Mister.” “Oh, right!” and laughed out for a short while. “I beg for pardon, that’s so rude of me! Ms. Elle, I am Hugh Gustav Heri.” Heri. “And…” he suddenly paused when a passers-by came into the scene and waited for them disappear, so, they can hear us no more. That’s when I knew that he himself is well hidden from the world of modern times. “And there’s more to see later on before, during, and after the dinner… Please, enjoy your stay.” And left us there staring at him or is it just me? “So, did you get the answer you were looking for?” I got startled as Reed suddenly threw a question. I blinked my eyes for many times to fully recover from it. “I guess so?” I answered doubtfully. “You guess so? Ha!” he exhaled unbelievably and sneered right at me. “I knew you should have taken my advice. Tss, let’s just get ourselves ready.” “Okay.” I disagreed no more to stop our argument. We each took our belongings and faced ourselves in front to the ladies. “Miss, please take us to our room.” “Yes, sir.” After that, the ladies finally opened the door for us which displayed a number of people roaming around while others were simply sitting still, enjoying the moment of laughter and sharing of stories. Most of the gentleman were formal in their suit colored with a certain color, while others were in their tuxedos. Ladies wore their skin tight dress also colored with a certain color, while others were on their gown. Each of them showed elegance in their own definition, while gentlemen also had their own definition of handsomeness. The truly look respectable and manifested an act as if they came from a royal family. I dare not compete with them even with a tint of possibility and never had thought of that because all I really want is to have a good life with Reed in contentment. There are also other people dressed in white polo with long sleeves topped with sleeveless polo in blue color, paired with blue-colored slacks and black shoes, who serves the food and drinks provided and requested for the guests. I suppose they are the personnel assigned by the headmaster and whoever that managed this banquet of this Mansion. “Mr. and Ms. Morrow, this is where you’ll be staying.” One of the ladies announced in blissful tones as we paused in front of the room reserved for us. “Here’s the key for your room and anything that you need will be provided. If ever there’s anything else, you can access the caller inside your room. Please, enjoy your stay, Morrow Family!” “Thank you very much, ladies. Oh, right! One more thing, if it doesn’t bother your time.” Reed favored and faced them with a smirk while opening the door. “Oh, surely, sir! No problem! What’s our master’s request?” she said while biting her lips in a totally indecent way and took a glance to her companion who gazed back at her with an annoyed expression. Master? Tch, what a real b***h! I immediately cleared a throat and was really making it obvious to change the atmosphere of our little space. I saw how Reed looked at me, chuckled, and sighed right after, turning his gaze to the ladies waiting for his “request”. “Oh, uhm, we just actually want to know your names, so that, we’ll know what we will call you or we can ask people where to find you if ever we need your help, if that’s okay.” He asked them considerately, yet, smirked spot on as he turned to me and looked at me in the eye. The skin between my brows wrinkled as I put on a confused look while raising an eyebrow. What are you looking at? I said those words in a sassy tone while trying to resist his stares. But still, ending the one to give up and looked away. “Of course, no worries, Master! My name’s Gaile and this here, is Sea!” she introduced buoyantly as she pointed her fingers to her partner. “Greetings, Mr. Morrow.” Sea greeted Reed formally and nodded. He just nodded back and put on a smile. “We will see you after an hour or two so that before dinner we can find and guide you to your tables. Sorry for the intrusion. We will take our leave now.” Sea continued and immediately departed, Gaile followed leveling with Sea’s steps. “She seems formal.” Reed uttered after they walked down the hallway and disappeared from our sight, pertaining to Sea. “While the other one’s a bitch.” I vented pertaining to that Gaile as I torture her inside my mind. He just responded to me with a chuckle and after the door clicked open, we immediately went inside and placed our loads on the couch. There were two cabinets on the room placed beside the bed in each side. I choose the one on the left side; it’s much closer to the window and other than that, it’s also much closer to the study table facing towards the window. We didn’t spent so much time arranging our things inside our cabinet, instead we made ourselves ready and took a shower. Reed was the first one who went to shower while I was busy looking for a gown to wear this dinner. I suddenly remembered how the guests were dressed during our entry, they wore gowns and dress with a certain color. What if we also had to wear a gown and tuxedo with a certain type of color, I mean that’s not impossible. Other thing is that they knew about our identities, which means Reed should have been here for a lot of times by now. I should just ask him later. Maybe he knows. “Is something bothering you, lady?” A lady in gray gown suddenly showed up as I divert my eyes to where the voice came from. Just from her looks, I could say that she is around 20 to 25 years old, just the same range of age like Reed. “Reed? Reed, there’s som—” “H-hey, wait, I am no intruder. I know you and your family very well.” She explained trying to persuade me and smiled innocently. “But it seems like… you forgot about me.” She continued with her eyes turning blue. “W-what do you mean?” She tried to put on a smile as soon as she turned her gaze straight into my eyes, but she failed and diverted her eyes elsewhere, hiding her emotions. She let out a deep sigh the sooner she recovered and tried to looked at me again, but not in the same way. “Eos Derriel Dawn… It’s my pleasure to meet you once again, Electryo Morrow.”
