“You are not any ordinary wolf, are you?” Cana stammered looking at Zane from the seat beside the driver. The black car was shiny and comfortable which was driving through the city at a great pace. The clasp of Zane’s fingers on the steering wheel was pale. With a sigh he said Yes. "Not really,” He said with a grin, He glanced at Cana. Thus neither are you”. Cana's heart raced. "What do you mean?" Zane's jaw clenched. Again the growled out, I the Lycan King, and you, Cana … you the daughter of two of the most powerful alphas the Lycan race has ever produced. ” Cana's mouth fell open. She hides the shock. She wants to say something and shakes her head in disbelief. "It’s impossible. My parents are ordinary people. They were fatalities in a car accident when I was a baby". "That is what you were told," Zane said quietly. "That’s worse,” she says “Your parents were murdered by rival packs who wanted to eliminate them. Cana felt a tightness in her chest as if she couldn’t breathe. Her life was really changing before her eyes. What has prompted me to ask this question is that the amount of detail that is usually demonstrated regarding localization is relatively limited. Fire flashed in his eyes and it was odd to see this more experienced man admitting to having watched her for years. This one seems to be imitating the phrase "keeping you warm at a distance. " The car sped on and after some time it stopped. Cana could not help but raise her head and what she saw was a large overlooking building, which looked like a skyscraper. “We are here,” is what Zane said, opening the door to get out of the car. Cana walked behind him weakened by her legs. In the hall there was no conversation, people reached the top floor in the elevator with a heavy uncertainty. Cana gasped when the doors opened for her. The penthouse was considerably large and luxurious. Thin vertical blinds filtered light as it highlighted floor to ceiling windows peering into the city skyline. “Please sit comfortably,” answered Zane and went to a bar on the corner. Cana fell into a very comfortable looking leather sofa, she had never felt so dizzy in her life. Troubled by the issue she says, "This is all too much. " Zane offered her a glass of water, and sat opposite her. I understand that what I have just told you is a lot to think about. But you are in danger, you know, Cana. Axel and his pack do not go to sleep until they harvest the unsuspecting humans. Cana’s fingers gripped the glass with a little more force. They are my friends, yet they desire something from me, I wonder. "What do they want with me?" “Your power,” Zane said simply. This means that your strength is much greater than you can even realize, “You have no idea how strong you really are”. Cana attempts to Set the glass down with a visibly trembling hand. "Well what now? You are offering your services to guard me?" Zane moved his chair closer and locked eyes with me. “I will give you your revenge on Axel, on everything that he has done. ” A part of Cana liked the idea. But fear kept her from getting up and moving. "I don’t know if I can —" A loud crash interrupted her. The windows exploded and black-clad men stormed into the room. “Get down!” yelled Zane as he jumped to his feet. Cana fell on the floor with her arms crossed over her head as people started fighting. Roars and huffs rolled around. She raised her head to notice that Zane was involving himself with three at the same time. His movements were smooth and lethal. The fourth wolf went straight to Cana then tried to bite her. Involuntarily she rolled and kicked out as hard as she could. Her foot made the sound that she evidently enjoyed very much a crunch. She got up on her feet instantly and her heart was racing. The wolf that she kicked on the ground but another was charging at her quickly. Cana stepped to the side of the snarling beast and caught a lamp on the other end. She hit the wolf in the head as if it is a baseball bat. It yelped and staggered back. Cana took the opportunity and started a barrage of attacks that made the wolf kneel down. She turned around with fury and prepared for the second round. But the battle was already done. Zane was in the middle of the room and everyone around him was lying down unconsciously. He was panting barely able to stand and his eyes had a crazed look in them. They looked at each other across the room, which was in shambles. At that instant, Cana got a sensation of. . . something. A link she had never been able to make. Zane moved closer to her and stood about a foot away from her. "Are you okay?" Cana simply nodded her head while she held the lamp with much force. “Yes. Yes I do”. “You fought well,” Zane commented, there was a hint of pride in his voice. "Thanks," Cana mumbled. She glanced at the clutter all around her. "Who were they?" “A rival pack,” Zane snarled. "They have been plotting my downfall for the past few months. ” Cana slowly put the lamp down. “You never informed me about them before. ” "I didn’t want to chase you away,” Zane said. He rubbed his head and threw his hair. "I’m glad I came here to tell you. There’s so much you don’t know, Cana. So much I need to tell you. " Cana crossed her arms. "Like what?" Zane could feel the anger rise inside him and he sighed heavily. There are things that are facts, such as the fact that we are true mates. Cana felt as if the floor had been pulled out from under her. "We're. . . what?" "True mates,” Zane repeated softly. “It is not very common among our species,” she said, "perfect compatibility in every aspect. ” Cana shook her head and moved to the back. “No. No, that’s insane. We are still strangers to each other. ” "I know," Zane said. "But I felt it the moment I saw you and I believe you felt it too, just now. ” Cana's mind was reeling. He remembered that small flame he saw in her when they were fighting. Did he mean that? She mumbled, “This is too much. ” I can’t… I don’t know what to do” Zane moved closer to her and reached out to touch her hand. "Cana. . . " She put her hand up to halt him from saying any further. As for specific dialogues, I will state the following: “I need some air. He did not wait for an answer, and quickly ran to the balcony leaving Cana behind. The fresh and cool night air helped her to clear her mind a little. She tightened her hand on the railing and looked at the city’s lights. In the space of a few hours everything in her life had altered. She was a werewolf. The daughter of two alphas, now it seems the real life partner of the Lycan King or at least a candidate for this post. What was she going to do with all of that? Cana realized Zane was following her, but did not bother to turn around.
