“Yes,” he said firmly. “I want you to sit down and do nothing. You know as much as I do that getting involved in things like this has no benefit for us.”
I sighed, “I know that very well but I won’t sit still.”
Cael held me tightly, “What are you planning to do?”
“Nothing much,” I smiled. “Don’t worry, I don’t intend on confronting that scumbag.”
Cael didn’t let me go. He searched my eyes as if to check I was saying the truth and from his facial expression, he wasn’t sure. “Trust me,” I added and then he let go of my hand. He gave me an approving glance and then I went after the real girlfriend, now, ex-girlfriend. I did go after her in a rush but it took time before I found her. She was sitting on one of the benches made for the public and she was sobbing.
