Chapter 14.

Pretty soon, Wednesday came by leaving Jacob very excited for he was now finished with the article and couldn't wait for it to be reviewed by the twins. As he was walking through the School Parking lot, he soon witnessed George who was trying very hard to lift up a box which looked like it was heavy out from the trunk of his car. Releasing a breath that he didn't know that he was holding, he then made his way over towards the Adult male.

"Need a hand Sir?" The red headed teacher soon whipped his head around and smiled seeing that it was Jake with a little smile of his own and nodded.

"Why yes, thank you Mr. Parker, you can grab that second box for me please? I'd definitely appreciate it." Nodding, he did as he was told and the trunk door then automatically closed down and locked itself.

"What's in these boxes if I may ask Sir?"

"Old books that I'm donating to the School Library. For years, I have been such an avid reader that I've been doing some collecting from various bookstores that I believe that cleaning out my shelves is the right thing to do in order for students to learn all that they can from these to gain the knowledge that they really need." Jake smiled as they both made it inside saying hello or nodding in greeting towards the other teenagers whom were passing by to get to their classes or were just hanging back to chat for a little bit.

The doubled doors were opened as the School Librarian greeted the two males. She beamed a warm smile but within her eyes, were a subtle joy whenever more books were being brought here to fill out empty shelves. Thanking them, she then called for her assistant who then brought the cart to handle her job leaving both Teacher and student to leave.

Jake soon glanced towards the Instructor as he soon remembered what he wanted to say to him. "Um, Mr. Calloway, about yesterday in the Cafeteria, I...just wanted to say thanks for defending me from Brad after the way he was treating me..." George then smiled warmly shaking his head.

"It was my pleasure, besides no student should ever have to go through the way that you did, or any other form of mistreatment for that matter; between you and me, I've had my fair share of bullying when I was your age when I started High School due to my accent and because I was taller than most of my classmates. Not to mention, I was also the subject to name calling as well."

Now Jake was really interested, back then, he wasn't all that intrigued about or with his past English Teachers, but something about Mr. Calloway had really struck a match within him. "What kind of nicknames would they call you?" His face then turned into a grimace which the long haired boy secretly found very cute but he wouldn't dare say it out loud.

"Beanstalk, Skellion, and even Giraffe."

Jake tried to hold in his laughter, even just by covering his mouth with his hand but it was no use, he just couldn't help it as the bell quickly rang to signal the start of class as everyone soon filed in getting out their books to start the day's lesson materials.

A little while later, Jake found himself in the Newsroom where he was met by the twins and Pam whom were gathered around the desk looking over his article in review. Jake hoped that he didn't have to do over the entire thing; for thanks to Hilda's typewriter and of course using Microsoft word and scanning the pictures to make it more accurate, he had put in all of the hard work necessary to make it look very presentable and appealing. Finally, they all held up their heads in unison giving out huge smiles to let him know that the article was a pass.

"This is perfect! thanks Jake, this will definitely be a hit article considering to help the Lunch Lady serve healthy cooking a lot more as well as encouraging the students too."

"No problem, always happy to help, anymore tasks that I can help with for today?"

"Don shook his head, "Nope, you have already done enough for now, but if there's anything else, we will let you know." Just then, one of the students came running through the door trying to catch his breath and settle himself down. "Owen, are you okay? What happened?"

The boy by the name of Owen, regained enough breath to start explaining. "I just came back from the Nurse's office, Winston has just come down with the flu for he was supposed to interview Mr. Calloway for him to be apart of the new Teacher Year article which we need in November, and I can't find anybody else who will take his place."

"Oh no That's horrible." Pam replied already feeling bad for one of her helpers. "Who will we find on short notice? Leslie is already assigned to interview Mr. Burkanbait, and Ivy is assigned with Miss Dutchfield." She then looked over towards Jake who gave her a confused expression; then, it suddenly dawned on him as he soon gasped along with his cheeks turning red couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"You want me to interview Mr. C-C-Calloway? Me?" He stuttered out hoping and praying that none of them didn caught on to his subliminal message hoping that they would drop the idea and find somebody else; besides, it was already bad enough that he had a forbidden crush on the man, then to add more crap to the table, they wanted for him to take the initiative in speaking to said forbidden crush!?

No way in Hell would he be able manage...

"Please Jake, you have already done such an amazing job on this article, and it would be such a shame to postpone it. After all, we do want the new teachers on this new one here to show them how much we appreciate them as well. We have been getting a lot of positive reviews since you joined us. We could really use your help on this." Dawn begged joining her two hands together as well as putting on her best puppy dog look that she could muster while Don on the other hand, rolled his eyes at his sister's display.

"You must mean some other Mr. Calloway...right?" He hoped and prayed that it wasn't the English Teacher's name. "What is his name by any chance?"

"George Calloway, The English Teacher." Owen replied as Jake's pupils within his eyes slowly shrunk.

"Shit..."
