Chapter Twelve

I hear a light tapping sound. I’m trying to find where it’s coming from but I can’t. I feel myself fighting my eyelids. Trying to open them to find the sound. Tap..taptap..taptap..tap it in a rhythm. I’m looking but I still can’t seem to find it.

Then that’s when I hear his voice. Wake up sleepy head.It’s time for me to enjoy myself. Wakey wakey sleepy head. I’m ready for you to entertain me.

Still fighting my eyelids. I start to wonder what this person is talking about. What exactly are they ready for? What does it have to do with me? I start fluttering my eyelids. I hear him say good job you're almost there. You almost have it. You’re almost there, keep trying.

That’s when I finally get my eyes open. Not only open but they stay open, and that’s when I see him. Brandon, he's just standing there.With this creepy grin on his face. Looking at me from across the room. Then out of nowhere he starts to walk to me.

Don’t you dare touch me you filthy animal. I promise you I will kick your ass if you touch me.Don’t you dare lay a finger on me. I hear myself saying all these things to him. But I also see him ignoring each and every word I’m saying.

He stops right in front of me. I’ve been waiting some time for this to happen. You’re going to be my new toy. Forever and ever and no one will come looking for you. No one even knows that you’re still alive. He stretches his hand out to reach for my face. You will never be the same after I’m done with you.

I tried to step out of his grip, but when I moved back. That’s when I notice my foot is chained up to the bed. What exactly do you plan on doing Brandon? What’s the meaning of all of this? WHY THE f**k WOULD YOU KILLS MY PARENTS!? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO THEM? TO ME? I couldn’t stop myself. It was all coming out like word vomit. NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO BRANDON,I’M GOING TO GET OUT OF HERE ONE DAY! YOU CAN COUNT ON THAT.

SLAP! Right across my face. Then another and another. After that comes punches and kicks. He starts beating me like theres. No tomorrow. I try to block my face as best as I can. But it’s no use. He’s all over the place. He finally stops. I get up all bruised and bloody up.

You will never get away from here. Get that through your thick skull. The faster the better. Or you're getting to be getting a whole lot more beatings. Then after every beating I’ll really enjoy my time with you. He turns around and walks out the door. Leaving me in my own blood and tears. Chained to a bed. Goddess this can’t be life now.

Lenny’s pov

As I watch my dad walking away. I hear someone yell ROGUES! I turn around and see a whole group of rogues coming straight towards me. Turning back around towards the pack house I see a fire has started in front of the pack house. It surrounds it perfectly.

Dad!? Dad!?......I mindlink him. Dad, where did you go? Are you okay? Where’s mom and Sarah? Do we have eyes on them?

Son we’re good. Relax and concentrate. There’s an attack going on. Your mate is not marked and could be the target. Pay attention and do what you have to do. I’m putting your mother and Sarah in a safe spot for now. I’ll be joining you soon.

I start running for the pack house. I see everyone is fighting. Some are in wolf form and some are human. As I get to the front door five wolves jump out. Right in front of the door. I take out my claws. Bringing Ash to the front a little. One wolf jumps up so I go under. Making sure to catch his belly. Two tackle me down at the same time. I grab one by the neck and squeeze real tight. While making sure I make some distance with the other one. Kicking him straight in the face.

Dad, it's like they're blocking me from going inside. It's like they're doing it on purpose. At that very moment I hear Athena screaming her lounge out. Ash takes over me immediately. Mate needs us. Sorry Lenny let me take care of this really quickly. Then we go get mate Ash saids.

I don’t even try to fight Ash off. I let him take over. We need to get to Athena and fast. We can’t let anything happen to her. Ash and I are in total agreement.

Ash grabs on by the neck and snaps it right in that moment. He starts to run straight into another. At that moment five more come out of nowhere. It’s like they know who I am. Not as in the next alpha in line. But as in her mate.

I take back over noticing what’s going on. Dad, they're not letting me through. They know dad. She’s in danger. I need help now. He didn’t answer me. Instead I see him jumping right into the fight in front of me.

We both are taking the rogues on head on. I see Alpha Sam coming to our side to help as well. There are wolves all over the place. The fire is growing bigger and bigger. The smoke is becoming thicker and thicker.

I can hear Athena screaming for help. My heart is breaking knowing I can’t get there fast enough to help her.By the time dad and I are done with this group of rogues. I make my way towards the pack house. The flames are huge. But I ran through it all to get to my mate.

When I’m almost at her floor I stop in mid track. Seeing alpha Steven’s lifeless body on the floor makes me stop in my tracks. I snap out of it really quickly though realizing that my mate might be dead.

Love can you hear me? It’s me, Len. Please make a sound if you hear me. Love are you here? I ask as I walk around the area. I bump into something on the floor. When I look down I see that it’s luna Vivian.

Oh my goddess! Luna Luna can you hear me? I touch her neck cause it looks like she still has life. I turn around to see my dad and some others coming up the stairs. Dad Dad she’s still breathing come and get her. Take her to the pack hospital. We can try to save her. Everyone starts to gather around her. Trying to pick her up without hurting her.

As they pick her up she grabs my hand with the last little strength she has. Athena please find her. Please I beg of you. Help her she needs you. They pull her away. Trying to make it in time to save her.

I start looking around the whole floor. Knowing Athena isn’t here. Her scent is long gone. Not only that but Luna just asked me to save her. She’s gone because someone took her. Someone was behind all of this. Hopefully Luna survives.

She would be a great help if she can tell us who did this. I ran to the pack house. I have to know if the Luna survived. As soon as I get in I see my dad and mom and sister. All in the waiting room waiting for some news. Looking around I noticed the Luna's brother isn’t here. Neither is his family. I mindlink my dad asking him if he knows where he is. No son I don’t and to be honest. I haven’t seen him this whole time.

At that moment the door burst open. In comes the healer of the pack. He’s also the head doctor. He comes in with his head bowed. Everyone knows what that means as we bow with him. The luna is gone. She didn’t make it. Everyone starts to walk out. Picking up the rest of the dead and injured.

Walking back towards the pack house I see how messed up it truly is. This will have to get rebuilt from top to bottom. Now that I think of it there's no need to rebuild at all.There’s hardly anyone left. It's such a shame really. Dad, we have to inform the council as soon as possible. Then we have to send out search parties. I have to find her dad. I can’t lose her right when I find her. It’s not possible.
