Chapter Thirteen

Athena’s pov

Waking up to my head pounding. I try to sit up. I’m cold and wet. I try to open my eyes next. It hurts like hell to try to get it open. I managed to open at least one of them. I looked around the room to see if I was alone. By the looks of it I am.

Artemis are you there? Can you hear me? We have to get out of here. You have to help me. Please answer me Artemis. Nothing that’s all I hear. Nothing, no answer, no breathing , no nothing. I truly am alone right now.

I burst into another cry. That’s the only thing I can do right now. I’m stuck here with no help. No one knows I’m alive. How could this be happening to me?I cried and cried until soon I was asleep again.

Brandon’s pov

Everything went according to plan. I couldn’t be happier. Walking into the pack house. I see mom and dad sitting on a table. In the dining room. Once they see me come in they stopped talking. What’s going on I ask?

Nothing much. Just waiting on the call from the council. We should be hearing from them soon. That I’m sure of. How’s it going for you? How’s your new toy doing? Does she like her new digs?

No I don’t think she does. She seems to think that she's going to break free. I’m going to have fun showing her that’s never going to happen. Crushing her dreams and her little by little. I’m going to have a blast doing so.

We are lucky she didn’t find her mate. If she would have, we would be at war right now. Thank the goddess for that right. Mom chimes in.

Where’s kelly? I ask. Trying to change the subject without them catching on. I haven’t seen her since we came back. She does remember what to say when the time comes right. We don’t need her messing up anything. I worked too hard to make this happen.

She won’t say a word darling. Your sister knows better than that. She’s just upset. Apparently Athena and some others made nice with her. They were just the wrong friends to make that’s all. She’ll be fine that one.

I’m perfectly fine mother. There’s nothing wrong with me. I didn’t make friends. I just feel like that was the most stupid thing we’ve ever done. We have done some f****d up s**t before. Never like this though. It was just like I said though. When all the mother’s came in. Everyone noticed how mines weren't there. So I was a pity to everyone. If I’m going to be showing up and doing my part. The least you can do is show up and do yours.

So how exactly do you plan on explaining that to the council mother? When they ask you where you were at that moment. What are you going to tell them?

I’m not going to say anything. Everyone that was in that room with you is dead anyway. Let’s thank Athena for not having friends like that. You say nothing about it as well smart ass.

Whatever mother. I’m leaving now. Melissa is waiting for me.Don’t wait up either. I’ll probably be spending the night out.

Remember no s*x kelly. You will be a better price for me like that. My dad always reminds her that she’s just a money bag.

With that Kelly is out the door again. She’s very lucky I can’t kill her, I say to my mom and dad. Watch the way you speak about your sister. She’s family at the end of the day.

Oh yeah dad, because family is so important to you right. We didn’t just kill my aunt and her husband. Kidnapped her daughter. Set her whole pack on fire. Plus you just reminded your daughter she is a money bag for you. You have a funny way of showing love for family. I just thank the goddess that I came out male. Not female because the females. Don’t get passed you for nothing in this world .

Don’t be a smart ass Brandon. My sister deserved what she got. So did her little family. She acted like we were trash. Like we didn’t matter. Now she knows better. I guess she wasn’t the smartest child.

So let me get this straight. You can talk like that about your sister. But I can’t talk about mine like that. You’ve got a lot of nerve, you know that.

Brandon stop being a d**k. Go do something with yourself. Go call Hendrix and make the council go away. That’s what you should be doing right now. Instead of standing here and being annoying.

At that moment James out beta walks through the door. Walking straight towards me and my parents. What’s going on James?

The council is what’s going on. They want to know what went down over there. They want answers. They said they will be here next week to ask some questions. They’re waiting for one of their members to return.

My dad shoots me a look. That say go make that call. So I turn around and start walking out. James right next to me.

What did your father do now? Are we all going to suffer because of him? My dad didn’t do anything James. It was all my idea and my plan. I’m the one that did everything. So you don’t have to worry your little head off. Everything will be handled.

You know sometimes I feel like you and your dad forget. Our pack is number one priority. We are in charge of their well being. You guys should be worried just like me. With that he walks away from me.

I walk back to my special place. Where I have my new toy hidden away. Before walking in though I make my call.

Hendrix, we have a problem that you need to fix. The council wants to make a trip over here. Stop it from happening. Remember you owe me. I am looking for it to be done. I say then hang up. Not waiting for him to respond. Not giving him a chance to ask questions either.

I walk inside the old pack hospital. That’s where I keep my new toy at. No one will ever come in here. They never do. Not since my grandparents died. So I know no one will ever find It makes me smile knowing that I’m going to have so much fun. She doesn’t even know what I have in stored for her.

She will learn what pain is now. She thought she was a warrior princess. She couldn’t be one. Even if she tried. She will learn that soon enough.
