Chapter Fifteen

Eric’s pov

I’ve been dealing with the howling moon pack things ever since the fire happened. I still can’t believe that my best friends have passed away. No, not passed away. They were killed and I still can’t wrap my head around that.

My son is going crazy. Even though he is doing a good job hiding it. I know he is in a great deal of pain. I have no idea how to help him. Other than to find Athena. I’ve been following the council in that matter.

Which has been killing my son. He can’t stand the council. He does have to learn how to deal with them though. He will be alpha pretty soon.On top of that I have the missing girls from the pack as well. I have been working really hard trying to find any of them.

On top of that my wife and Sarah aren’t doing so well. Stella can’t believe that Steve and Vivian are really gone. Sarah that that was just her first time seeing a rogue attack. We don’t get any at all. So to be in another pack and be attacked. She’s having some real trouble. They have been in darkness since then. It’s been kind of difficult to bring them out of it. I’m hoping it’s soon though. If not I’ll have to use my alpha voice with them. I really don’t want to. But if I have to I will.

I’m sitting in my office just thinking to myself. I just don’t understand any of this. When you really think about it. Nothing adds up at all. How did the rogues get in the pack without being noticed? How did they get to my friends and their daughter without us seeing? Where was their back up?

Sitting there wrapped up in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Sarah come inside and sit right in front of me.

Earth to dad, is anyone there? Shaking my head to wake myself up. I apologize and smile. It’s good to see you out of your room sweetie. I hope that you are doing better. How are you feeling?

I’m doing okay dad. I wasn’t in my room because I was traumatized. I was in there thinking everything through. I had to make sure that I was sure. Before I come speak to you.

What are you talking about sweetie? You had to be sure about what exactly? Are you okay? Is there anything wrong with you?

No dad, not with me. I’m perfectly fine. I just had to make sure I was right about what I heard. Dad, I know I was right about it. Dad, I don't think that this was an accident. This was something planned. I know I sound a little crazy here. Just hear me out and what I have to say.

All of us girls were together in the room. Getting ready of course. I remember that Kelly was upset. She had said that she didn’t want to be there. That’s not the only thing though.

While Sarah is talking I made it my business to mind link Lenny. Telling him to come to my office. That he needed to hear something.Sarah keeps on going with her story.

There was a girl named Aaliya there. I think she was the beta’s daughter or gamma. I don’t remember which one exactly. But I do know it’s one of them. Anyway, she was watching Athena the whole night. Every time she would move to get something. Or to even go look in the mirror. She was texting it to someone. I just don’t know who.

Then we all started talking about mates. When the other girl asked. Shelia, I think her name is. Kelly got really upset. But it’s like Aaliya. She knew something about Athena’s mate. Dad believe me when I tell you dad. Something was off with her that whole time.

Lenny has been standing in the back of the office listening to it all. So is there anything else you can remember sweetie.

As a matter of fact, yes dad. Kelly’s mother didn’t come in with all the mothers. She was really upset about that. Then there was the whole cell phone thing. Aaliya the one I told you about. Remember I told you she was texting someone everything. Well that same phone. She put it in Athena’s dresser. I don’t know why or if she does that all the time.

I did ask her if we all had to do it. She had told me no. That she didn’t want to lose her phone. So I didn’t think anything of it. Then when we were coming down the stairs. She pulled out another phone from her bra. I didn’t even notice it earlier. I know I saw it though dad. When we got to the door. She grabs the other girls by the arm telling them to follow her.

I knew I was walking to mom. So I just went there. I know it’s been a little while since then dad,but I know what I say. I’m sorry I took so long to tell you. I just had to be sure dad. I couldn’t come to you without knowing the whole story.

Well I’m glad you finally told someone. Lenny says from where he stands. Sarah looks back at him and smiles. Seeing my kids embrace each other as they do with their little jokes. It lets me know that I did a good job raising my kids.

Sarah I’m glad that you really did say something. Hopefully we can find Athena and the others. Maybe just maybe we have a little more leads with this. Now it’s time to work on yourself. You shouldn’t worry about this anymore okay.

Just promise me that now since you worked this out. That you will come out of your room more often. I missed seeing your ugly face around the house. I see her grab the pillow and swing it. Hitting him in the arm.

As we all sit there laughing the door swings open. Stella what the f**k is going on? Are you okay? Hurt? Do you need something?

Eric, where is Jon? He would have been there. Especially since Vivian knew something was up. Mom, what are you talking about? The Luna knew they were in trouble. She didn’t ask for help or tell her alpha.

It’s not that simple. Asking people for help. It would have been worse. More wolves would have died. My friend made the right choice by not asking anyone for help. She saved a lot more wolves than you know.

I know that we are going to have to talk about the past soon. It has to be another time though. Your mother is right. Jonathan would have been there. If Vivian knew he would have been there. Plus he’s one of the strongest wolf’s I know.

I have to find out where he is. I must inform the council or our new information as well. I have to make some phone calls.

Dad I don’t think we should tell the council anything yet. Let’s just look into it first. Then when we have something solid. We can take it to the council.

You’re right son. We can do that for now. That doesn’t have anything to do with Jon though. We need to find him as soon as possible. With that I see my kids out the office. Me and my wife have some things we need to get done.

Lenny’s pov

I walk my sister to her room. She wants to shower and change. So I leave her to do just that. I leave her and walk to our gym. I need a little run right now but don’t want to shift. So the treadmill it is. Our gym is on the side of the pack house. So it’s not a far walk for me.

I walk straight there and get on one. I couldn’t help it. I had the whole thing playing in my head. Those rogue’s knew who I was. They knew what she meant to me. As well as me to her. I just have to find that group of rogues.

That’s when it clicks in my head. All rogue’s have brand marks. Where they marks should be. I totally forgot about that.

I run another thirty minutes on the treadmill. I need to run as much as I can to be honest. I have all this stress and tension. This has to be worked out before I start doing what I have too. If I go looking for answer’s and what not. If I don’t work this out before I will end up killing everyone in my path. That can’t happen if I’m going to find my girl. Something tells me that this is the way to go. Follow the rogues get to my mate.

I get off the treadmill and head to my room. Everyone knows that I’ll be alpha soon. They also think that I don’t have a Luna. Boy are they wrong though. I have the perfect Luna. A warrior princess. Now I just have to find her all over again. I will stop at nothing. Heading straight to my bathroom I take off my clothes and jump in the shower.

Washing myself quickly I jump right back out and dress myself. There’s some many things I have to get done. First I have to find some of my men to help me out. I know they won’t have a problem doing it. I also need the logs to the rogues. We also keep a list of all those who turn rogue. It’s for our protection and theirs. Now all of this is going to help me find my girl.
