"I give you this year's graduates." - the Headmaster ended his speech and pointed to the bleachers where all five hundred of us sat, all dressed in graduation gowns in colours of each respective Pack. I sat proudly in standard Dragon's Night black between Rico and Ruth and watched how my parents, brother and Mate cheered together for this milestone of my life. Graduating from the Academy wasn't necessary in our world, unless you wanted to become a Doctor or a Lawyer, but still it felt good. It was a pretty rough ride. Three of the best years of my life.
