Chapter 40

Nikki pov

I wasn’t driving, so I sat in the backseat. We stopped to use the bathroom, get gas, drinks, and food, and then we were off again. I was waiting until we got to the pack, then I would tell them I would be right back then never show back up. I knew we were almost to the blood oval pack, but we suddenly took a u turn. What is going on now? Did something happen? i sat up so i could talk,

‘Why are we turning back? What happened?”

“Alpha Cody wants us back at the pack. Something happened, so we need to hurry back.”

“We are already two hours away. If there's a rogue attack, it would be too late when we get there, so let's just keep going.”

“He didn’t say anything about a rogue attack. He just wants us home, so we are heading back home.” I need to do this, I need to get out of here. I know what's going on. Alpha Cody figured out what i've done, and i'm going to be punished for it, I think they know whats going on and wont’ tell me. i have to get this done right away, Wolfie, i hope you're ready for this because we are about to wreck,

:Are you kidding me Nikki, you’ve done this all on your own, i told you we would get caught, and then you end up doing this to yourself, I swear if you get yourself killed i will leave you before you do,”

“Wolfie, stop nagging, we will get out of here don’t worry, Now get ready to heal me if we get hurt okay,” I cut the link off, i pushed up elbowed Barbra in the head knocking her completely out. Then i punched Becky in the face before she had a chance to mindlink the alpha, everything happened fast, her head hit the sterring wheel, making the car serve to the right hitting the guardrails then it flipped up then back down to its side, this is my chance to get out of here before they woke up,

“Sorry girls, but i don't plan on dying any time soon, pushing myself out of the car i could smell pack members, they have been following us by wolf form, i had to shift and get the h3ll out of there, i knew where to go i had plans just incase this had happened, hopefully they will let me in so i could hide, I could smell the wolves behind me, they were close, but I was faster, I had to shift back to my human form to climb the tree. This tree can hide anyone's scent. I had to sit so no one would be able to see me or even tell I was up here. I saw seven wolves running by the tree. Four brown, three gray. I knew who the grays were. They were the runners and the trackers. But this time, they weren't going to track me down. When i knew for sure that they were gone, i jumped down, shifted into my wolf , and ran to the pack that i knew would keep me safe,

Rain pov

I knew something was about to happen, sooner or later she was going to show up at my pack wanting me to help her, I warned her about taking the king's daughter but she wouldn’t listen, i should had never told her if she needed a place to hide she could come to my pack, She's going to hate it when i tell her she will have to pretend to be an omgea and help clean and cook, if she doesn’t like it she can go hide somewhere else, I was in my office that i once shared with my husband, he had gotten killed a few years ago by a rogue attack. he was out training with the guys, when the attack happened, he was stabbed in the heart right away before anyone could help him he was gone, it was a silver knife with wolfsbane that did it, it was to late for the doctor to help him, i was trying not to think about it and try to read what was in these folders when one of my guards linked me telling me that Nikki was here in her wolf form, sighing i told him just to let her come through, Getting up from my chair, i pull out a pair of shorts and a shirt for her to wear, she will be here in a few minutes, I already had the paperwork ready for her to sign, I stood up with my arms crossed, She came into my office in wolf form, I tossed the clothes on the chair,

“Shift now,” i said in my alpha tone, she had no choice but to shift into her human form, she grabbed the clothes putting them on before anyone else walked into the office, i looked at her, and i thought for just a second to call one of the guards than tell him to take her down in the deepest cell, but i didn’t i know i should had but i didn’t. she walked over to me, giving me a hug, i cringed at her touch. but i had to play my part until the time was right, i hugged her back,

“So, let's get started okay, first things first, if you remember what we talked about, it has to be done because Omegas never go out. they are alway inside,. so you need to sign this paper stating that you agree to be an omega, You will help clean and cook, and have your own room, like everyone else, and if you do find your mate here you will move with him, but you will still help clean and cook, wash clothes, clean the packs rooms and so on, If you had changed your mind, then you can get off my land, this is what is going to be until you decide that you want to leave when the fire is down, meaning when they stop looking for you, noone will know that you are here. So what do you say?” i could tell she was thinking about what i just said, then she started talking,

Nikki pov

When i entered Rain’s land, the guards let me through i knew she would have clothes for me to wear once i got into the office, when i shifted into my human form, she tossed me clothes, we hugged each other, then she started talking about me being an omega, what the hell was she talking about, i will be helping to cook, clean, wash clothes and then clean the rooms, is she f*****g forreal, and if i find my mate, i will move in with him but i will still have to help if i want to hide, i had to think really hard on this, me being an omgea is really going to suck, but i signed the paperwork. then i had my conditions, on this,

“Rain, i really hope your pack members don’t treat me like s**t or try to beat me, i will defend myself, I will not let anyone try to harm me,”

“Nikki calm down, The omegas get treated fairly here. They get treated the same way as everyone else does, So Don’t give me lip. this is my pack, and you will give me respect with the rest of the pack, You just remember, this is my pack, So if you're done, i will show you your room, there are some clothes in there for you, you will have your own bathroom. like everyone else. So you can rest today, but tomorrow you will start your new life,”

shit, here i go from being the gamma to a freaking Omega, i wonder how that is going to work out for me.

Joy pov

Right when we landed i jumped down off my brother, I landed on soft dirt, i couldn’t wait top wear shoes, and feel more grass under my feet, it's been that long, I wanted to stay out here as long as I could, there wasn't any reason for me to go inside, i kept thinking this was just all a dream and I was still in that cage, I would wake up any minutes and I would see Nikki’s face with her laughing green eyes looking through the bars at me,I felt so free. The only thing I worry about is when my dragon Tay hasn’t spoken to me for almost a month now, they gave me something in my food and drink so she would sleep, if they killed my dragon, I would take my revenge, I just hope she is okay, and i will hear her soon.

‘Honey, are you ready to go inside now? You must be hungry from a long flight back home, my mother had asked me,” i didn’t even think about eating until she said something about it. my stomach betrayed me, grumbling at the mention of food. Everyone started laughing when that happened,

“Yes mom. I'm ready to go inside. even though i really didn’t want to. i still felt this was like a dream, and any second, now I'm going to hear her laughing at me, but it wasn't. I just wanted some real food. And not just rice or potatoes.

Randy pov.

I was in my room. I needed to get up and get going to look for my mate. I wanted to give up. But I just couldn't. Apart from me, I wanted to believe she was still alive out there somewhere. Sighing, I spoke to my dragon.

"Let's get this over with."

"Randy. I don't think we're going anywhere today or tomorrow."

"Why do you say that? We need to look for our mate. She's out there somewhere, and I'm not giving up. So what's the problem?"

"There is no problem, Randy. She's home. Can't you smell her scent? She's home." I took my time to realize what he just said to me. I walked out of my bedroom, and that's when I smelled the aroma of pineapple and berries, Is that really Joy? I ran toward where her scent was the strongest. It led me to the kitchen. Everyone was standing around, and even some people I've never seen before, I'll get to that later. Liv and Adonis saw me hurry in the room. They stepped aside, and that's when I saw her. My Joy was back! She was really back. She's older and more beautiful. Long red hair and the greenest eyes. I stepped forward. Is this really her? Holy s**t it is her.
