Rosette's POV
The office pantry was supposed to be a quick escape for coffee and a moment of peace.
I had slipped in during the mid-afternoon lull, hoping to clear my head after another tense morning of working directly under Andrew. The campaign designs were coming together, but the constant weight of his gaze across meetings made focusing difficult. I reached for a fresh mug when a familiar voice spoke behind me.
“Rosette, right? You’re the new lead on the luxury campaign.”
I turned to find Marcus, one of the senior marketing coordinators. He looked handsome in a friendly way with warm brown eyes, easy smile, and an approachable charm that felt safe compared to the storm I dealt with daily.
“Yes, that’s me,” I replied with a polite smile, pouring my coffee.
“You’ve been making quite an impression around here,” he continued, leaning against the counter. “The concepts you presented yesterday were brilliant. If you ever need someone to bounce ideas off, or maybe grab lunch sometime to discuss the project…”
His tone was light and friendly, but the invitation was clear. Before I could respond, the pantry door opened.
Andrew Voss stepped in.
The temperature in the small room seemed to drop instantly. His piercing gray eyes moved from me to Marcus, narrowing slightly. Marcus straightened immediately, his easy smile faltering under the CEO’s intense stare.
“Mr. Voss,” Marcus said respectfully. “We were just...”
“Back to your desk,” Andrew cut him off, voice cold and authoritative. “Now.”
Marcus gave me a quick, apologetic glance and left without another word. The door clicked shut, leaving Andrew and me alone in the suddenly too-small space.
My heart pounded. Andrew’s jaw was tight, his powerful frame radiating controlled fury. He took one step closer, then another, until I had to tilt my head up to meet his gaze.
“How dare you let him speak to you like that?” he said quietly, dangerously. “Let him offer you lunch as if he has any right?”
“It was harmless,” I replied, though my voice wavered. “We were only talking about work.”
Andrew’s hand came up, not touching me, but hovering near my arm as if fighting the urge to pull me closer. His eyes burned with raw possessiveness that sent a shiver down my spine.
In that moment, I realized just how dangerous this man truly was. Not just because of his wealth and power, but because of the intensity with which he claimed what he wanted. He wasn’t just jealous, he was also territorial. And I was caught in the center of it.
Before I could say anything else, he caught my wrist in a firm but careful grip and pulled me out of the pantry. I barely had time to set my mug down as he guided me swiftly down the hallway toward the private executive elevator.
The doors slid open. He ushered me inside and pressed the button for the top floor, his tall frame filling the space as the doors closed behind us.
“You’re mine to touch,” he said, voice low and commanding, gray eyes locked on mine with unyielding intensity. “No one else's.”
