The day is here

Iris POV Finally, I am here! After a short flight, I arrived at the destination. At the airport, a young lady had a sign in her hands with my name on it. I approached casually and introduced myself. "Hi, I am Iris. It is nice to meet you." She smiled offering her hand "Hello, my name is Tory, I will take you to camp." We had a small talk on our way to campus, and it helped calm my nerves. Something in me was screaming that something is about to happen, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I thought that I was just anxious to get there and start with the program. We arrived and I was introduced to the director of the camp. He was in his fifties, although you can tell that he was a handsome man once. After that, Tory gave me a quick tour around, and the schedule for tomorrow. "Let me escort you to your room, trainers are on the first floor." The building was old but cozy. On the ground floor was a dining room with a kitchen. On the other side was a game room for the trainers, with a large black sofa, a small table and a huge flat TV screen for games, or for watching movies. Unlike the soldiers, we had this for our spare time. We went upstairs, and there were four rooms on the first floor. "This is your room." She showed me the first door on the left side. "This year, there will be only you and one more male trainer. Your resumes are pretty awesome, so the director thought that you two will be enough for the candidates. He will be here tonight, so you can get to know each other." I was proud of myself when I heard that. Also, I was curious to meet the other guy, cause he must be extraordinary too. Something in me stirred and my anxiety start to grow. I didn't know what was wrong with me, but it must be excitement cause I was here. I thanked Tory and went to my room. It was a pretty bright room, with two big windows and a balcony. The view was of the training grounds, and I was happy because of it. On the left side was a door that lead to the bathroom, I guess, the king-size bed and night table with lamp. On the right was a wardrobe with a large mirror on it. Basic room, with basic stuff, but hey, I didn't expect a five-star hotel room in a military camp. I took a long shower to relax my muscles. I wanted to take a nap, but Bryan called me. We talked a little, actually, he was whining cause he is alone and having a hard time. For the first time, it made me angry, and I couldn't wait to hang up. For God's sake, I am away from home, in the middle of nowhere and he is having a hard time?! Argh, he is truly a baby! After we finished our conversation, I fell asleep quickly.
