The activities of the past few days had been strenuous. I had to train the warriors thoroughly. And then my father had been acting strangely for a while now and I noticed it had been since the lady Clarissa came.
My father had not talked about any other woman in decades and all of a sudden he was talking endlessly about Clarissa. He kept swooning at her and acted like a child around her. Like he was under a spell but I knew better. None of the witches would ever dare step feet into Winslow.
