The brutal smirk froze completely on the man's face, and his eyes widened in shock. He slowly lowered his gaze, staring at the black tentacle piercing straight through his chest and watching fresh blood drip down its surface. He never even got the chance to scream before his life faded away in an instant. Scalding blood and splintered bone splattered everywhere, covering the other two men entirely. They were terrified out of their wits and scrambled to their feet, desperate to run for their lives. Yet the tentacle seemed to have a mind of its own.
