Mazorik's abode was located in the Badlands, in caves in the Toppled Mountains, not so far from the Slanted Mountains Range, and approximately to the same, though not inconsiderable, distance from Delfia and Barvian, and from Teberion as well. But since there was no safe passage through the Slanted Mountains that would allow the orcs to reach the kingdom directly, to get there one had to cross either Delfia or Barvian.
When the Dark Magician entered the main hall of his den, his seven disciples knelt in unison, showing their submission and respect. Mazorik bowed his head in greeting and, with a gesture of the hand, indicated to his pupils that they could get up at the same time as he told them:
