19 THE ENGINES ROARED and the shuttle pulled away from the hull of the Starship Felicity. Melati grabbed the armrests of the seat that no longer supported her. On the viewscreen in front of her, the rotating hull of the Felicity passed by, a hard vacuum-scarred metal surface, pitted from impact with micrometeorites. She closed her eyes. They had received extensive briefs about the flight, and from her crash-course in zero-g training with Ari, knew she had about twenty minutes before she was going to spew, and she hadn’t eaten in anticipation.
