" How did you survive? How did you get away with the poison?" She asked me after the maid had told her that she indeed put the poison in my food. I saw the look on her face and it was not pleasant.
" Are you dumb? I asked you a question, why are you not dead? Why are you still alive despite the poison?"
She did not get a response from me, I was never going to be the one to tell her that I was treated by the medicine man. She left my room and went to hers.
I had no idea what happened or who she met but the medicine man was being dragged into the Alpha's court like a criminal.
