Clara's POV
I saw the look on his face. He hated me.
" What did you say?" Logan asked him.
" Let's get in," he said.
He passed the other ladies who were standing in a line. He passed them and went to get seated.
His father was shocked, we were all shocked as well.
My heart was pounding. I could not believe that the moon Goddess gave me a second chance, the moon Goddess took pity on me and gave me another mate.
But he looked displeased with me.
" What is wrong, what happened?" Logan asked.
He was eager to know what was going on; I do not know if he was genuinely concerned about his son or if he was trying to find a way to humiliate me.
I did not mean anything.
" I feel a mate bond with her," Derek pointed at me.
He could not hide his displeasure.
" And? You do not want her?"
" Father, how can I want her? How can I want someone like her? She is weak, and she has no wolf, so do you know the next thing?" He asked his father.
" What is that?"
" She is your concubine; how disgusting that I was going to end up with one of your women," he spat.
He turned and looked at me. His eyes were filled with hate, anger, and frustration.
I was the one the Moon Goddess had chosen, but he was not going to accept me.
It broke me so much, I had to leave there and go back to my room.
I lay on the bed as I let the tears fall down on my face.
This was the second time I was getting rejected. There is something wrong with me. I was cursed and I was getting to know how deep it was.
I stayed there till Anna came into the room. I could not hide my pain from her.
" I do not think he will take me"
" He does not look pleased with you," she said.
I nodded my head.
" He is going to say no to me, and then everyone will see how deep my curse was. This is the second time I was going to be rejected by my mate." I said.
I remembered how the first one happened and now that the Moon Goddess had decided to smile on me the second time, this happens?
" I do hope he accepts you because he has to take you away from here"
" What if where I am going will be worse than here?" I asked.
" I do not think so; you are going there to be a Luna; you are going there to have a good life," she said.
It did not make any sense to me; all I ever thought about was the way people would look at me.
I was of no use, I was a maid in my father's court.
The door opened, revealing another maid.
" You are being asked to come to the table," She said.
I stood up with Anna by my side, she was holding my hands.
We both walked and when we got close to where Alpha Logan and his sons were, Anna left my hands so I could go alone.
I walked to where they were.
My eyes fell on Mark. The incident the other night flashed through my eyes, I hated him. He was vile and evil.
Derek sat there, not even looking at me, he was not paying any attention to me as well.
" My son has something to say to you," Logan asked.
I wanted him to say those words to me, to reject me and let me go back to the sober mood I was. There was no hope for my life anymore.
" I want to let you know that you are nothing close to what I wanted; you possess everything that irritates me. But I am only going to accept you because the witch of this Red Moon park made it known to me that my mate is the one who will save me; I do not have to reject her else; I will she," he said.
I raised up my head and looked at him in shock. He did not say those words to me? He was talking about taking me as his mate?
Could it be that the curse was getting weak?
I looked at three of them; they were not bothered about my answers, whether I was okay with being a Luna or not.
" What about me? Are you not bothered if I want you or not?" I said.
At this point, I was going to act a little proud because my mate had just accepted me; the circumstances surrounding it did not matter to me.
" What do you mean by that? I am doing you a favor; you are wolfless, one of my father's concubines, you are a maid here as well, and you think you are fit to be with someone like me? Your opinion here does not matter" he said.
I feel silent, I had no say any longer. He was cold and that made me know that I was going to get another round of suffering. It was never-ending.
" I do not think it can happen; what do you mean, Derek? You do not want her, and you do not like her as well; you should let me have her; I want her to be my mate," Mark said.
My stomach sank in, never will I accept to be his mate. Even though the Moon Goddess gave me Mark, I was going to say no.
I rather go with Derek than go with Mark.
" What did you say?" Derek asked.
" She is mine"
At this point, they stood very close to each other; their eyes shone brightly as they looked into each other's faces.
" Are you daft? She is who I felt the mate bond with and you dare say she is yours?"
Derek dragged Mark by the hands and used his wolf power on him, the house was thrown into confusion as something terrible happened.
