Chapter 12 Brothers

"Brother?" Tesla questioned himself. He couldn't believe what he was looking at, but there in front of him was someone who looked and sounded like his brother. "You can't be him, my brother died ten years ago. I was there during his funeral."

Wyet smiled as he turned around to look at Tesla. The monstrous body behind him slowly turned into vapor, disappearing from the material plain. "Don't go killing me off like that, little brother." Wyet stated. "It's me and I'm alive."

As Wyet spoke Tesla clucthed his hands and grit his teeth. He lifted his head and stared straight into his brother's cyan eyes. "How are you still alive? Do you know the pain you caused grandpa when you died? His condition worsened, causing him to die not long after you."

"I know that. I truly am sorry, but I had to do that. I had to get away." Wyet responded. "Because... This country is evil."

"Evil?"

"Yes evil. Do you know who made the virus that killed so many of our clansmen?" Wyet asked Tesla as he shed a single tear. "It was Inyoni group of companies. All those missions, all those praises they gave us were great. On the other side, they were planning to kill our clan."

"I discovered this during a conversation between Oscar and some other person. Who knew that one of the country's best had such a dark heart?" Wyet rambled on as Tesla became angrier and angrier. "I am glad that he die-"

Wyet was stopped by a bolt of lightning fired at him. "Watch what you say next, because I'll kill you."

"Why would you defend such as monster?" Wyet smiled.

"That man's wife payed for my school fees. Where were you during all that? She had to work harder not only for her children, but also for me. I'm where I am now because of Nora and I refuse to let you tarnish her husband's name."

This shocked Wyet. "Are you betraying me as well?" Wyet stated as he prepared to fight. "I'll make you see it my way."

Lightning surged throughout his body as his eyes changed. His bolt vision has eight bolts. My brother has become extremely strong. Tesla observed while activating his own bolt vision.

Meanwhile at Sargo village, a series of explosion went off throughout the area. A man walked through the flames as a group of ten knights ran at him. Sito and Robin were ordered to evacuate the citizens to the nearest shelter.

"Are any of you interesting?" The person questioned, as he prepared to attack the knights.

From the sky Becca could see the explosions. Where did they come from? I didn't sense anyone entering the village. At that moment Becca evaded some metallic feathers fired at her. She turned to the direction they came from.

"Pride."

"I'm glad you still remember me Becca." Pride expressed her feeling of joy with a smile that that stretched from cheek to cheek. "Now let's play. Ignore Bang for now, I'm your opponent."

As this was happening, Phile was fighting Emanz. Limestone stone and water clashed everywhere. Phile was sweating, while Emanz was still fresh. Why am I having a tough time with this brat? I should be fighting the leader, dealing with children is beneath me.

"Tell me boy. What is your group doing here?" Phile asked Emanz as he sent a 'hydro sphere' flying at him. The boy created a sword made of limestone and cut the attack into ribbons.

"To get an item called a totem. If you gonna ask me what for; I also don't know. I'm a low rank nobody myself."

Upon hearing this a vein popped in Phile's head. That's great, this piece of s**t is also a nobody.

"Lightning guantlet!" Tesla shouted as he ran straight at his brother. Wyet easily evaded the attack and sent his little brother flying with a kick.

"You've become stronger, but you are a thousand years from beating me." Wyet added as he shoved his hands in his pocket. "Let's see if you are any better when I handicap myself." Wyet laughed.

Out of anger Tesla jumped at him. "Don't underestimate me Wyet!" He shouted as he prepared the 'lightning dragon blast'. When his brother was close, Tesla prepared to fire it.

However, with one kick Tesla was sent fly to the ceiling before crashing down. The boy created a human shaped hole in the ground.

To much of Wyet's surprise, Tesla was still moving. Although he struggled the boy continued to fight.

"Why aren't you giving up?" Wyet asked. "It's clear as day that you can't defeat me." Wyet then kicked Tesla across the floor to a nearby wall. Even so Tesla still moved.

Wyet kick him a few more times, but Tesla still got up. Even with his left shoulder dislocated Tesla stood firm. I'm not gonna tolerate your sorry excuses. Even if I'm not strong enough, you will tell me what happened.

"I'm not gonna get defeated by a man who ran away from his problems. How will I live with myself?" Tesla stated as he reactivated his bolt vision. Suddenly, another bolt appeared.

Wyet watched in stun silence. His eyes now have four bolts.

Tesla smiled a bit as he felt his own power accumulate. He then looked at Wyet with an even more determined look. "I'm not gonna give up. You will have to kill me first."

Tesla quickly stood up and shot a blast of lightning at Wyet. The enemy quickly evaded the attack. Wyet used this chance to get closer to his brother. Tesla created his 'lightning guantlet' and punched him in the abdomen. He then kicked his older brother in the face sending him flying.

Wyet stopped himself in mid air and blasted a torrent lightning at his little brother. Tesla slide under the attack, to avoid it. I can see his attack, but I'm still not able to block it.

He then created a lightning dragon blast and shot it at his brother. The attack hit Wyet, but he was able to stop it from hurting him.

As he dispersed the attack Wyet laughed. "I was thinking that you might be the one."

"The one for what?" Tesla stopped to catch his breath. His breathing was rapid and his vision was starting to get blurry.

"To get the seven bolt eye. The legendary eye that gives great luck to it's wielder." Wyet explained. After wyet's long explanation Tesla sighed.

"I don't care about all of that Wyet. Seven bolt eye, betrayal and Inyoni. Nothing you have said has justified your actions." Tesla ranted his thoughts. "Even if the disease was created to kill us. What did the citizens have to do with that? None of them are even connected with it."

"You don't-"

"Then make me understand! Why did you kill so many children? Was it for revenge!?" Tesla shouted. "Why did you abandon your grandma!" Tesla continued as he launched himself at his brother. While in the air a lightning axe appeared on his right hand.

"Shut up." Wyet mumbled.

"Stop mumbling and speak up. Why did you abandon everyone?" Tesla ask.

"Shut uuuup!" Wyet shouted. Suddenly Tesla found himself frozen in mid air. "You will never understand. None of you will." Wyet continued before punching his little brother.

Tesla was sent flying into the tunnel at a tremendous speed. He then landed next to Phile who was struggling against Emanz.

From out of the blue, Wyet appeared next to Emanz. His alchemic energy level was so high that it brought Phile to his knees. "I'm done playing. Lightning dragon crash!"

Tesla was shocked by this. It was a first for him to hear that someone can do the 'lightning dragon crash' without a need for clouds. "But how?"

"It's a little thing I like to call extreme alchemy. The user manifests a familiar made from their attribute. Only three other people are compatible with this technique. One of them is Becca Mamba." Wyet explained as the lightning dragon wrapped itself around him.

"By combining lightning dragon crash and that. I can perform the spell without the need for clouds." This shocked Tesla who struggled to stand.

Damnit! I'm being pinned down by a member of the Tsela clan. I'm a flipping fifth seat this is embarrassing. Phile observed as he struggled to stand.

"Goodbye little brother." Wyet stated as he sent his dragon after them. The entire temple blew up, with debris flying in all sorts of directions.

Gary held on to his unconscious mother as the earth shook. He looked at the surface of the lake as the waters raged like the sea. "Get back safe everyone." He prayed.

As the water calmed down, the boy's prayers slowly diminished. Worry started to fill that void hope occupied.

Suddenly, Zack jumped out of the lake using his wind to carry an unconscious Tesla and Phile. The boy had blood flowing from his hair and his clothes were ripped.

"I'm glad I made it in time." Zack stated as he fell face flat onto the grass. I hope the others are having a better time than us, because they got away with the Magongo item.

"Damnit." Zack continued.

"D-don't worry." Gary's mother stated, as she lifted her head. "That was not our source of power. It was a lie to prevent anyone from using it."

"What is it for then?" Zack asked.

"The real reason has been lost through the ages, thanks to the reign of the elders." Gary's mother explained.

"The elders? What do they have to do with this?" Zack asked.

"I won't say much because I don't want a repeat Oscar. If you want to investigate this further, do it covertly or you'll be assassinated like all the others." She coughed after giving Zack advice.

Wait what?

As this was happening the last knight fell to Bangs attack. Sito and Robin arrived in time to see the villain toss aside the corpse. He then shifted his red eyes at the kids all the while having a creepy smile plastered on his face.

"Are you ready kids?" The fourteen year olds grit their teeth as they prepared to fight.

"Sito don't go easy on him." Robin instructed her friend.

"What makes you think I'm going to go easy on him? I've got a lot of questions for him? Especially about a certain individual."
