Chapter 7 The Power Of Seated Officers

As the kids fought this monster, the thousands of people who came to support them watched in stun silence. Even the people who were selling snacks just stood there.

The kids divided themselves into separate teams. Abby and Sito were together, while the others formed the other team. As they fought, Cody's finger started to wiggle.

"Did you find him?" A knight wearing a green uniform asked, his colleague who was from the reception.

"No he is not there either." The female knight replied. "Where could he be?"

After an hour of searching a knight found a body lying in a pool of blood in one of the toilet stalls. They quickly ran to the Magi to report on their findings.

Upon arrival the knight kneeled onto the concrete floor. "Sir we have found Luton. Unfortunately he has been critically injured and is being sent to the hospital as we speak."

"You are all useless. If you had found him earlier maybe he'd be stopping this right now!" One of the elders shouted at the young woman. The knight simply balled her right hand out of frustration, as the other elders joined in to mock her.

"Thank you for the information. Please make sure that he makes it to the hospital okay." Ozen jumped in to save her. He smiled gently making the knight's heart race a bit.

"For a clan leader Luton is pretty pathetic. How can someone of his caliber loose to a mere child?" An elder asked, grabbing Ozen's attention.

"Maybe we should kick the Magongo clan out of the government?" Another commented.

"Just like we did to the Tsela clan?" They all laughed angering Ozen.

From the roof of the stadium, Megan's daughter watched as the whole stadium went chaotic. From out of the blue, she sensed a strange presence coming from the east. When she turned to look, she spotted a dark figure flying in the distance.

Without hesitation, she flew towards it using her wind attribute. "It's been days since I've fought someone. Let me let loose a bit." As she got closer to the person she slammed her hands together creating a small tornado.

The mysterious person blocked her attack using her metallic wings, that sprouted from her back. At this moment Zack's sister detected the scent of blood in the air. When she looked below her, she noticed countless bodies belonging to knights scattered everywhere. Each of which had metallic feathers sticking out.

"Who are you?" She asked, while starring angrily at the feminine figure in front of her.

The person had a large curvaceous body complemented by the navy blue skin tight bodysuit she wore. Metal spikes protruded out of her back creating wings and a smug smile was plastered on her face, showing pride in what she has done. Her skin was like chocolate and her eyes shined like emeralds.

"I've long abandoned that name, but you may call me Pride." She boasted before laughing a little.

"What type of person abandons a name given to them by their parents?" Megan's daughter responded, as she clenched her fist. "My name is Becca Mamba and I'm going to make you remember the name your parents gave you."

"Well Becca, can you prove that you are not all talk?" As the two women fought in mid-air, the kids were locked in a battle of their own.

"Brandon do it now!" Shouted Tesla who was thrown against a tree. His tracksuit was filled with cuts and part of his right sleeve was gone.

"Stop giving me orders!" Brandon shouted, while preparing for an attack. "Water alchemy: aqua s***h!"

The creature simply ate the attack without suffering any consequences. Using it's crocodile like mouth, it fired an intense sound attack at Brandon who could barely resist it.

"Magma shot!" Abby shouted as she fired a giant molten rock. "How much time do we have?" She asked, as she started sweating.

"Twenty minutes at the least." Maya's statement caused Abby to grit her teeth before she fired another 'Magma shot.'

From above, Sito dived head first at the beast. "Sword of revealing light." He chanted as a huge sword appeared next to him. He then stabbed Camu's abdomen.

Zack immediately used his wind to blow Sito away from the beast before his sword vanished. To the kids suprise the stab wound began to seal up.

"Damn you!" Sito shouted as he prepared for another attack. He jumped straight at the beast from a tree trunk. Abby took this opportunity to attack from the front. However, before Sito could do anything, the monster used it's enormous tail to throw him at Abby's attack. He moved so fast that he pushed back Abby's attack causing them to be caught up in the explosion.

Maya watched as her friends got taken out one by one. Tesla, Brandon, Abby and now Sito were unconscious. The only person remaining was Zack who was acting as her shield. While watching him try to stop the monster, she began trembling.

The creature unleashed another roar knocking out Zack. The light on her hands started to blink on and off. I'm loosing concentration. I need to connect Cosmo's blood vessels, but how can I do it with this thing about to attack me?

The best fighters at school were beaten within ten minutes. What can I do against this monster? Maya panicked as tears started flowing out of her eyes. The creature slowly approached her as it prepared another sound attack. Am I next? What should I do against that?

Just before it could fire the attack, Cody ran past her shouting 'phantom claw expand!' The boy punched it so hard that the monster was pushed back. "Are you alright?" Cody asked as he prepared another attack

"Y-yes I a-am." Maya struggled to form a proper response. Those eyes; are just as similar as back then. If only I had stopped you from going, maybe things could've been different.

"How can that abnormal know the expand technique?" One of the elders asked, in shock of what he was seeing.

"The is no way scum like him could master such a thing. It must be an ordinary spell." Another commented. Seeing the elders flustered made Ozen chuckle a bit.

"Even so my nephew pulled it off." Ozen added.

"What's so interesting about the expand technique?" Megan asked, surprising everyone around her. Nora cleared her throat before responding to her question.

"The expand technique is different from the other four fighting styles. Because it doesn't focus on distance or usage, but it leans more towards power and size." Nora explained.

"Yeah and when you use the expansion technique to increase the size of a spell, it still maintains it's original power." A young boy in the audience added.

"However mastering it is difficult to say the least, leading to only two confirmed people knowing it. That is you and Cody." Nora continued. "Which is quite a shame because you chose to become a chef instead of being a knight." This surprised everyone.

Cody continued bombarding the creature with punches. He gave it no time to prepare attacking. Seeing Cody working hard, made Maya put more effort into creating artificial blood vessels for Cosmo. As the master of creation spells, I cannot let simple blood vessels beat me.

I will protect everyone here. Cody vowed.

"I won't let this be the end of my dream." Both of them motivated themselves. As Cody punched Camu the creature crumbled.

Upon witnessing this everyone in the stadium celebrated.

Just before Cody could celebrate a dark aura covered the remains of the creature. "What's that?" Maya asked. Cody was shocked that she could see it to.

"You can see it?" Cody questioned.

"Why do you look so confused? Cody beat the creature." Megan asked her friend.

"Don't you see the black stuff on it's remains?" Nora enquired. As Megan investigated. The pieces of Camu started to fuse together creating a mold. Suddenly an arm extended from the creature and flew straight towards Maya.

Before Cody could respond, the phantom claw on his right hand vanished. Not now.

Just before Maya was hit, a vine quickly wrapped itself around the appendage pulling it away. "Why are you on your knees every time we meet?"

Cody smiled from cheek to cheek upon realizing who was here. "Lana!" He shouted.

"And Robin. Am I a ghost to you!?" Robin complained.

"For your information Cody doesn't even know you."

"Shut up Clement!" Robin shouted as she wrapped a bunch of vines around the blob. At that moment Cliff burst through the forest and checked if everyone was fine.

"Don't worry I got this." Lana stated as her hands started glowing. "Cloud alchemy: silver lining!" This created clouds that fully enveloped the others. One by one each of them woke up.

Abby woke up to find Brandon sleep on her lap. Without hesitation she kicked him away.

"What the hell!?" Brandon enquired.

"Sorry; but my lap is only for my friends." Abby responded.

"That sounds stupid." Zack commented, earning him a punch on the shoulder.

"Have you defeated the creature yet?" Tesla asked. Cody just pointed at the moving blob wrapped in vines.

"That creature hurt Cosmo and you are allowing it to live!? You are as useless as ever!" Sito shouted.

"Sito shut up. That thing is up to something." Tesla interrupted.

Suddenly, the mould grew large in size tearing the vines around it. It soon towered over the trees as it came to a stop. From the mold two muscular arms grew with each having sharp claws at the end. The bulky legs separated into two. During this time the head took the shape it originally had this time it had two goat horns. The eyes were now red somehow.

"Even if we had more alchemic energy we would be no match for this thing." Zack analyzed the situation.

As it roared Lana quickly used her cloud attribute to get everyone to safety. However, her arm was caught up in the blast. Just before she could fully escape, the monster's attack ripped off her arm. Sito jumped to her cloud and saved her before the monster sliced her with it's claws.

The girl grit her teeth in pain as blood came out. Clement jumped in and used his fire to stop the bleeding. During this Lana screamed so loud that Brandon covered his ears using his attribute. From the distance Cody watched in horror as Sito pinned her down, while Clement tried to seal the wound using fire.

"Here comes another attack!" Zack notified everyone. Thanks to Robin the attack missed. She had restricted the creatures movement with her vines, but it was taking all her strength to control it.

"If I had enough alchemic energy, I'd use my lightning crash." Tesla struggled to stand up.

Cosmo suddenly opened his eyes. In the distance he watched as the kids fought desperately against Camu. Those kids.

From the pain Lana fell unconscious. The clouds they riding also vanished. All the kids fell to the ground luckily Maya managed to save everyone with her gelatin alchemy.

"Damnit we are running out of alchemic energy." Sito spoke, as he cradled Lana on his arms.

"Yeah and my body is starting to convert tissue to alchemic energy." Brandon whipped blood that was coming out of his nose.

If this continues the kids will die from blood loss way before the monster kills them. Cosmo thought as he tried to move. I have to move. I have to protect the next generation. Just like my mentor did before me.

At that moment Cosmo thought of Oscar. Besides I promised their father that I'll watch over his sons. Suddenly one of Cosmo's fingers started to move.

Meanwhile Zack used his 'aeolus blast' to unbalance Camu. Brandon, Abby and Tesla combined their attacks to make it fall.

"Thanks to it being made of limestone, my lightning attribute is useless." Tesla analyzed the situation. "Sorry."

"You were never useful to begin with." Brandon commented.

"Speaking of which what have you accomplished Brandon?" Abby asked as the trio evaded another sound blast.

"Shut up!" Brandon responded. At that moment Cody and Sito destroyed the creature legs.

"I don't know why we bother because it's just going to regenerate." Cody stated as Camu stood up again.

"Just keep fighting you abnormal frea-" Sito stopped as he started to cough out blood. Cody followed causing them to kneel. The creature used this chance to try and attack them. Robin tried to pull it away with her vines, but unfortunately they snapped.

Before it could lay a finger on either of them, the Dlamini twins vanished. Tesla was shocked because he also didn't see what was happening.

From out of nowhere, they appeared behind the group. Both of them were being carried by Cosmo. "You did your best; now it's my turn." He spoke as he placed them onto the ground.

"Ma-master?" Sito tried to confirm. Cosmo just smiled at him before facing Camu.

"It's me kid." The knight responded as he walked to the front of the group. Tears started to well up Sito's eyes.

"You're back." Sito continued, but got no response from Cosmo. Instead the knight manifested flames around himself. His eyes turned blue from their usual brown.

"That is..." Tesla observed as Cosmo approached the creature while evading it's attacks.

"But if he uses that he will die. It's incomplete." Zack added.

" True, but there is no other way to destroy this and I'm willing to sacrifice myself to protect all of you."

"Master what are you planning?" Sito asked, but he got no response.

"Sito my boy. Our time may have been short, but I enjoyed it." Cosmo spoke with the saddest smile on his face.

"No." Sito softly spoke.

"Seeing you work so hard inspired me. To the point that I became my squads fifth seat." Cosmo continued, as his flames turned blue.

"No." The boy's pitch increased.

"Goodbye and farewell..." Cosmo stated as his blue flames engulfed Camu. "Absolute fire alchemy: burning passion!"

In an instant both Camu and Cosmo turned to ash. And to Cody, I hope you achieve your dream. I believe in you kiddo.

Suddenly, Cody woke up to discover that he was in the stadium. As he looked around he noticed that all his friends were crying, especially Sito who was balling his eyes out. Without any one saying a thing to him, he knew what had happened. Out of frustration he punched the earth, injuring himself in the process.

Meanwhile, Nora left her seat telling Megan 'she was headed to the ladies room.' As she climbed down the steps she tried holding back her tears. I'll always think of you as one of my children.

"Feather blades!" Pride shouted as thousands of her metallic feathers flew straight at Becca. The knight moved the blades around her before returning them to the caster. Using her wings Pride blocked them.

The two heard the cheers from the stadium. "So those kids survived, how lucky. I guess I'm done here."

At that moment Pride unleashed a storm of blades at the stadium. "Expand!" She shouted causing them to grow in size. Becca immediately chased them allowing Pride to escape. After skillfully avoid them she stood in front of the attack.

"Wind alchemy: tornado chamber." She stated as she conjured a tornado around her. The blades were all absorbed by the attack forcing them to the empty space above Becca. One of the blades came and stabbed her leg. She gritted her teeth in pain as she tried to stomach it.

"It looks like she was holding back, how interesting." Becca mumbled while holding the blades up. "I can't wait to fight her again, that's for sure." She continued looking at the direction Pride flew at.

Below the crowd could see the giant ball of blades and the person carrying them. Ozen teleported Becca from the sky to the field where she fell on the ground to rest with the blades around her.
