Chapter 14 Becca Vs Pride

As the sun was setting, it painted the sky in a bright orange. Pride and Becca fought each other under the beautiful scenery. Wind and metal clashed, but neither side was showing signs of exhaustion.

As Becca deflected her attack, Pride spotted a smile on her face. Her pony tail swung around and her eyes sparkled. It was obvious to the villain that she was enjoying herself. This however, angered Pride as she remembered her mother smiling, while she sparred with her sister.

Suddenly, Pride launched metallic feathers straight at Becca. Using her great reflexes, Becca was able dodge them all effortlessly. The blades destroyed a building on the ground. Nothing was left of the building except the rubble that formed it's frame.

Seeing an opening Becca decided to launch her attack 'air cutter'. This created slahes that are crossed. They moved quickly at the villain.

Pride seeing this, covered her body with her wings. As Becca's attack touched her wings, Pride's mind briefly drifted back to her mother. "Mom..."

After Pride said this a woman sitting on stone chair smiled. "Everything is happening as my master predicted." She smiled as she watched the fight.

"Wow your wings are really strong." Becca spoke as she prepared another attack. Pride saw a tornado envelope Becca's fist as she prepared to launch it. All the winds in the area gathered around Becca's hand. "Well it's time for me to demonstrate one of my higher level spell."

From that a huge tornado was blasted towards towards Pride. It was able to gather up particles from the ground even though it was ascending towards the heavens. "Feather blade barrier!" Pride shouted as pieces of her wings broke off to a create controllable shield.

From there a shield made from her metallic wings appeared in front of her to block the attack. Unfortunately, the shield was being pushed back, causing Pride to use her own strength to push it away from her. The tornado soon broke through the wings, but the impact was weak.

Just as Pride thought that the attack was over. Becca appeared in front her smiling confidently. " If I win, you should tell me your real name." She told, Pride before punching her in the chest with the left over tornado fist. This created another tornado sending pride crashing down.

As Pride looked up at Becca, she saw her mother looking down at her. "My sweet daughter..." Suddenly an explosion nearby pulled her back into reality and Becca was back.

"You know what Becca, you remind me of my mother. She use to enjoy fighting." Pride then looked at Becca with a smile. Both the young women smiled together.

"Hey Pride let's end this with the next attack." Becca stated. Pride nodded slowly as she powered up her next attack.

I need to use all my strength. Fighting Becca is like fighting my mom. Pride thought.

My clan was called the Ngidi clan. We lived on the outskirts of Rainbow, in a remote mountain village. We spent our days farming plus hunting and we rarely interacted with other clans.

My mom was clan leader. She took over after my father passed away when I was born. She was one of the strongest in the village and everyone loved her. Between her cheerful demeanor and charitable actions, it was difficult not to be her fan.

The village was peaceful, with a few scuffles here and there. I was usually the cause of most of them. This caused her headaches and like normal parents she used that opportunity to lecture me about being the clan leader.

That happiness did not last long, because one day the army of Rainbow came to our village. My mother tried to stop them, but she was instantly cut down. Without warning I ran away along with everybody else. Some people stayed to fight, but they were no match for the trained military. It was a s*******r.

One by one my clan was killed, until I was the only one left. When some of the soldiers had cornered me, my mom appeared out of nowhere and saved me. Even though she was fatally wounded, she fought all twenty soldiers around us and won.

Using the last of he strength she carried me to a giant tree with a small hole. She asked me to hide inside as the king of Rainbow and the rest of his army arrive. She fought them all, but King Julius killed her. The king then looked my way and for brief a moment our eyes met.

He looked at me in the eyes as he ripped her decapitated her head. He then threw the head towards the tree I was hiding in. They took everybodys bodies away and left me alone with my mother's head. I stayed there for a week and I was afraid to move even though the head has started to smell.

During those days the memories of my mother's dieing breath looped in my head. It was hard to feel nostalgic when her head was right in front of me. Just before hunger could have its way with me, a man in a lab coat approached me.

He gave me food and got me out of there. He took me with him and offered to help me. As I grew older I became more stronger. Eventually I realized that if I fight strong opponents, my past would fade away. So I decided to fight more. For a while now it was working. I even forgot my name and replaced it with Pride.

That all came crushing when I first met you a week ago. Your appearance alone evoked the image of my dead mother. And when you vowed to get me to remember my real name I was truly angry. I saw you as a threat, but somewhere inside of me I was happy.

Pride looked up at Becca as she prepared her final attack. Two extra wings sprouted from her back. She then leaped into the air preparing to attack.

"Now we end this!" The two women shouted as they fired their attacks simultaneously. The feathers flew in unison at Becca slicing through the air. As Pride expanded the metal feathers, Becca increased the size of her tornado fist.

I will save you Pride. I will be the hero I never had when I was young. Becca thought as another blade grazed her cheeks. " I think it's about time you tell me your name!" Becca shouted as she burst free from the feather attack. Her eyes were now crimson instead of the usual red.

She was so fast that Pride wasn't given enough time to block. Becca punched the girl so hard that she crashed down into the earth at great speeds. Pride created a human sized hole that was six feet deep.

Using her wind attribute, Becca got Pride outside of the hole. "I hope you are ready to tell me your name now?" Becca smiled from cheek to cheek showing her white teeth. One was missing thanks to all the fighting she does.

"I will."

From the distance the Magongo clan could see the attack. The giant tornado caught everyone's eyes even the little girl who went to save Sito saw it. "So that is the power she was talking about." One clan member commented.

"If we work hard enough that could be one of us someday." A young male stated. Everyone cheered as they began to target Bang with all they got.

A large number of poison and smoke spells flew towards Bang at once. "You think this is enough to beat me? Don't make me laugh." He answered their attacks with an explosion. Suddenly from the smoke something nimbly emerged.

"That might not be enough, but this will. I'm not gonna loose to my idiotic brother. I'll beat you and I'll target your friend Emanz next." Sito vowed as his attack neared Bang. "Light magic : Sword Of Revealing Light."

The huge sword hit Bang before he could counter. The power of the attack was enough to knock him out instantly. He layed on the floor unconscious in a star position. After seeing this everyone celebrated.

"We did it!"

After Becca saw Sito's attack she fell to the ground. Somehow Zack arrived in time to catch his sister. "You're so reckless dear sister." Zack

"Stop treating me like I am some old lady." Becca added before poking his forehead. "But thanks for the catch little brother." She laughed.

Phile went to check up on Pride while Tesla rushed to see what happened to the others. As everyone was smiling someone approached the group. Zack was the first to detect her presence.

Before they could move, shadow hands appeared from the ground and restrained everyone in in the village. "I could crush you all right now, but that'll be a waste. My leader would not approve of me wasting my energy like this." The lady proclaimed as she grabbed Bang.

She looked at Pride before smiling. "Rebecca, your services are no longer needed, but before you leave... The is something you must do for me." She stated as she injected something into Pride.

Everyone could do nothing but watch. Not even Tesla could activate a spell. "Rebecca!!!" Becca shouted. Suddenly Rebecca flew into the sky before activating a spell. From behind everyone could see a large storm of grey projectiles flying at them.

"What did you do to her!?" Becca asked the strange woman.

"This is an execution Becca. She will die, but if you can take action you will be able to save everyone else." She told Becca. "I know that you were actually holding back against her. Show me your true power. Reveal to everyone your extreme alchemy!"
