Chapter Three I spent the next few hours holed up in my room in a sour, anxious mood. To my great relief, Joanna didn’t probe me on the unpleasantries between myself and Jexrah in the hothouse. I’m sure she was curious, and not just because her role as ship steward demanded it, but she was also tactful enough to let it lie, for now. I tried to drown my fears with distractions. I watched an episode I’d been meaning to get to. I did a session of yoga on the floor, with a newly fabricated mat. I dove back into the latest in my mystery series, this one just as bad as the last.
