Chapter Sixteen
Trisha stared out the window at the two dragons lying quietly in the small garden far below. It was a month since Trisha and Kelan returned from the forests to find out that Cara and Trelon were attacked by Curizan and, more disturbing, Valdier warriors. Kelan’s brother, Creon, found Cara hiding in a small cave at the base of a mountain. Trisha knew how afraid of small, dark places Cara was and couldn’t imagine anything more horrifying than for her littlest sister to be buried alive for three days.
