Chapter 24
“She’s out like a light,” Alexis said as she slipped into the bedroom. She unbuttoned her blouse and rummaged through the suitcase she had packed for her pajamas. Lynn grinned from the bed, watching as Alexis stripped each article of clothing and replaced them with a flimsy pair of pajama shorts and a tank top. Alexis’s face flushed when she turned and saw the way Lynn was staring. “For someone that’s had one hell of a day, you still seem the same as ever.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.” Lynn wrapped her arms around Alexis’s waist when she crawled into bed and nuzzled her nose against her back. “I told you before, never judge a book by its cover.”
