“Finally!” Alexis collapsed on to the sofa and threw her hand over her forehead in exaggerated defeat. “I thought I was never going to get her to sleep.”
Lynn sighed as she leaned against the edge of the recliner. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have let her have that ice cream this late.”
“I’m not sure if she had a sugar buzz or it was the fact she spent the entire day with you.” Alexis grinned, leaning forward and looking at Lynn. “She couldn’t stop talking about how much fun the two of you had today. She even told me about you getting ice cream in your hair and how you and I had the same favorite flavor of ice cream.”
