Chapter 1
Lynn frowned as she plopped into the oversized chair and looked up at Alexis. “I can’t believe we’ve been trying for six months and I still haven’t been able to conceive!” After five unsuccessful attempts at an insemination, Lynn had grown discouraged. Doctor Rollins had advised her and Alexis that with a woman of Lynn’s age it could prove to be a lengthy and tedious process. Still, Lynn did not entirely believe the doctor. Actually, she’d dismissed the entire conversation. Now she was beginning to think pregnancy was not in the cards for her future. “Maybe I’m too old,” she complained.
