Day faded into night. Katie and Aimee both left, returning to the station to tie up the case that had haunted everyone at the precinct for months. Alexis had suggested they return to her place since the danger had passed and she wanted Calista to be back in familiar settings. Lynn smiled as she stepped behind Alexis at the kitchen sink and kissed her cheek. “I owe you so much, Sweetheart.”
