I pulled up at Dan's house and instantly something felt wrong and odd as I spotted Charlotte's car. I thought things had been a bit weird between us for a few months, as she'd seemed to distance herself from me despite the fact that she and I used to do lots of things together with Jen and it had become less and less over the last few months.

I tried to push any thoughts that I had from my head about something more going on between them. I thought maybe she'd simply slept over because of how late it had probably been by the time she'd dropped Dan off.
