SIX: Breathing

1027 Words
CALIX I panicked. Thoughts were running around my head and I couldn't leave Jamica with our aunt any longer. The more I think about it. The more I regret leaving Jamica behind coming to Japan with Antonio and Lethia.  Immediately, I rushed out of my room and into Antonio's. I didn't want to waste any more time here knowing that my little sister is probably in danger by some strange phenomenon that can't be explained by any human means.  I slammed Antonio's door to the side with a loud sound that could be probably be heard from miles away, but I didn't care. His eyes turned into a shock while he had a towel wrapped around his lower torso with a small towel on his hair in the midst of drying them, but I couldn't care less. I just went up to him while my hands were shaking and my mouth was trying to open up to tell him about my sister, about the danger, but I didn't know how to start. "Get me home," I demanded. "What?" Antonio looked at me. "Please.... my sister she might be in danger," I spoke. My head scrambled on the thought. I know I needed to stay calm but my brain still can't process everything at once. All I could think was the strange presence that has been walking around with my sister all this time, and I failed to sense it, but how could I. It was a f*****g spirit for god damn sake. No one can see them unless they have the so-called third eyes. I reached for Antonio and before I knew what was happening the room twirled and I landed on the bed with Antonio's body on top of mine. "Never," Antonio's voice was stern. "Never barge into a men room without knocking, Calix. Despite having the appearance of a boy. You are still a girl and a pretty hot one." He smiles but I raged. My hands balls up into a fist and punched it straight into his cheek. He stumbled backward and groans. I got off the bed and walked up to Antonio forcing him onto the wall. He held onto his cheek with a hand but I took both of his hands and pinned onto the wall.   "Now who's the girl?" I asked. Antonio continues with a smile plastered on his face, but I knew why he felt the need to do that. I can't think straight when I panic, and I usually do something reckless when I am in that state of mind. "So are you going to kiss me?" he asked making me lift an eyebrow and turning my lips into a smirk. I playfully punched him in the chest and he winced in return. "In your dreams." And I looked down to the ground by mistake when I saw a little budge squeezing out on his towel. Then to play around more with him. I gave him a peck of a kiss on his cheek.  "You know if you are going tease me like this. I might not come back home tonight." "Then don't," I advise. He groaned and went took his shirt into the bathroom changing into them. When he came out he was nicely dressed more than usual even though he is at his own home. He looked at me like I was able to read him and he sighed. "My aunt she's a neat freak. She doesn't like it when I dressed all too messy." I nod.  "So what's up?" he sat down beside me. "I called to my sister not too long ago, and Antonio I think I should go back and bring her back here with me." "Why's that?" I sighed. I didn't know how to start. "Antonio, do you remember Amy's funeral?" "Of course, I remember Calix. What are you saying?" "I am not saying anything, but do you remember how Jamica was when she finds out that Amy is dead?"  "Nothing, she was like her usual self, but Ivan and Josette were very worried about you before they could leave off China to work." "It's not about me, Antonio. It's about Jamica right now. You said she was just her usual self when she finds out that Amy was dead and from that time onward she kept me from being upset by saying Amy will come back to us and that she was never gone, and I am just thinking... Antonio, I-I don't think Amy is gone. I think she might be alive. Just now on the phone Jamica just talked to Amy." "Hold up! Calix." He was breathing hard now. "You're not making any sense." "None of this makes sense," I admitted. "But tell me another reason as to why Jamica had always been herself since the day Amy had died?  It's because Amy might still be alive." The cool and calm collected Antonio stood up from the bed taking a bite of his fingernails into his lips with another hand up to his head rubbing from this madness. I know this idea sounds crazy, but I can't think of any other option and how Amy was able to astral project from this ring. "But the body that we saw in the funeral?"  "It might be faked." Antonio began to pace back and forth from the room thinking. "But who would go this far to hurt you? And how is Amy involve in this?" In the midst of talking a woman who was probably in her late thirties shows up at Antonio's room and she looked like Antonio but the girl version of him. She was gorgeous and when she smiles it looks like an angel had descended down from heaven.  When Antonio noticed there was someone at the back of him. He quickly stood beside me leaning down to my ears. "That's my aunt Morgan Nanako," he whispered. "But in Japanese, she prefers to be called Miyami Nanako." "It's nice to see you again, Antonio," she said walking in closer to us and when I thought she reaching in for Antonio she placed her hand around my cheek. "For such a sad fate for a sad child," she stated. "Calix, I presumed," she question. "Yes ma'am." She stared into my eyes like she was staring straight into my soul. "Amy is still breathing."
