Nella's Point of View
We were woken up this morning by a frantic knock on the door. One of the nurses from the hospital had been sent to tell us that John passed away in the night. Reylin is just standing in this room, his father's body, lifeless on the bed. I walk up and wrap my arms around his waist.
"I'm so sorry baby," I say planting a kiss on his back.
Pulling me to his side he pecks my forehead "I know I should be sad, upset. But all I feel is relief." he shares.
I rub his chest affectionately "The sadness may come later."
Nodding he rests his chin on my head. His arms are tightly wrapped around my waist. We just stand there for a few minutes in silence.
