15 Serin found a branch in the drainage system that led to the sea. She burst out of a large corrugated pipe on the beach. She reformed with ease. The agent…not so much. When she nudged the puddle imbued with his aura, he came to, sitting on his butt, arms and legs flailing. His mouth gaped as if he’d been trying to swim in whitewater rapids while screaming his head off. Taking one look at her, he started shouting for real. She winced. “You were actually much quieter on the ride here, you know. I was impressed for a moment.
