CHAPTER 6 - KRON

“So this is how you derive the integration of partial functions.” The board in front of her was a decorated mess of formulas of which August had no idea. Day by day she was getting miserable in her academics. It wasn’t like she has some issues of anything, she just wasn’t interested. In Math, or any other subject for that matter of fact. “Ms. Collins, I hope you understood what I just taught you.” There were snickers all around her. Every single person in this room knew that August had no idea what was going on. That included the old tramp of her Math teacher. But that didn’t stop the woman from pointing her out in almost every single class of hers. Mentally, August was flipping the bird. All that came out was, “I did understand.” Mentally praying that the teacher won’t ask her to explain the theorem. Otherwise, she was screwed. “Good.” “God, I hate him.” Marcy was complaining non stop for the past half an hour as August pushed the food around the plate. She wasn’t particularly hungry and coming to the cafeteria was a bad decision. She was stuck with bland food and sulking Marcy. Again. God this girl needs a psychiatrist. To block out her friend, August couldn't think of any other topic than her bear. She wanted to see him again. Her hopeless teenage hormones making her want to believe in love at first size. “Are you listening to me?” Marcy’s voice boomed throughout the room. August was pretty sure that the whole room was listening to Marcy now. She had two options now - either lie to her friend or accept the fact that she wasn’t paying attention. Lying wasn’t her forte so either way she was screwed. “You look really distracted today. Tell me what happened. I want all the details.” “I am not distr.” She wasn’t even able to complete the sentence before Marcy gave her the signature glare. “You really wanna lie to me?” “Fine. I met an older hot guy who helped me when I sprained my leg.” August tried not to sound enthusiastic about it but she wasn’t fooling anyone. “Who is he?” “I don’t know.” There was no way she would give out anymore details. Even in her head, it sounded ridiculous. “Oh. You’ll see him again at the club.” August was praying that Marcy’s words come true. ************************************************************************************ “Stop frowning baby.” Ben whispers in August’s ear as he caresses her jaw. “I have a History test tomorrow for which I should have been studying.” She whispers back, the frown deepening. Coming to this party was among one of the worst decisions of her life. Ben’s reply was to simply belt out his rich laughter which pretty much sounded like music. It sure had all the ladies’ attention. “Baby, you will pass.” No I will not. She wanted to scream but that would be damn rude. Not at least when they had company. August sometimes wondered if Ben had a secret crush on her. Either that or he really wanted her to flunk high school. A middle school dropout, Ben really didn’t give importance to education. “I earn a lot more than my classmates can ever dream of.” That was his go to line every single time. “I swear if I fail, you’re bribing the principal.” “Done baby.” Ben places a sweet kiss on her cheek. “Now smile.” “Oh lala. That hunky meat looks delicious.” August and Ben were seated in alone at a table where her boss was eye-raping a man near the podium. She was seated opposite to Ben and hence couldn't participate in the eyeing activity. Checking out hot guys was an activity the two of them often collaborated on. And also enjoyed a lot! “You need to eat something or the food’s gonna go cold.” The dinner was buffet and the pasta was simply delicious. Cold pasta, however, is not. “I swear I can’t stop staring.” August was sure that he was drooling. “Baby I’ve seen a lot of hot guys in my life. He is simply a God.” The only God’s in her opinion were the hemsworth brothers. Others were just good genetics. “You have to look at him. But subtly, don’t turn too fast.” He cautioned her as she was on the verge of getting a whiplash. August turned back. Ben was so right. There was indeed a God in their midst. She couldn’t seem him clearly without looking like a stalker. He was brown in color, not like caramel but more like wheat. The man was tall, about 6 foot 5 inches, had dark brown curly hair and was simply hot. “Baby… August.” Ben dug his nails in her skin, to bring her back from the caramel man induced haze. “Sorry.” She had a quick sip of her peach cocktail, needing the support of alcohol to stabilize herself. “We should come down here daily.” Ben was still staring at the man but he made seem inconspicuous. Too busy to even reply to her. She dug her nails in him this time. “Ow.” Ben’s scream was on the loud side which caused an instinctive reaction to kick his heel. That didn’t really help with the volume. Such a bad idea! “Boss, stop.” ****************************************************************************** Buer was busy working on documentation of the additional land to be purchased when Kron called him. “Buer, man, you’ve gotta pick me up.Imma drop dead now.” One sentence and the line went dead. Beside him Stor growled. “Αφήστε τον να πεθάνει.” Buer sighed, wishing he could do exactly as the other man suggested. That would save him a lot of time and petrol. But sadly, there was no way Kron was dieing. Unless being struck by a météore. There was no that was happening either. Picking him up was the only option left. (Αφήστε τον να πεθάνει - Let him die, météore - meteor) Buer had expected that the given address would land him a club. It was a pleasant surprise that the place was actually decent. From the looks of it, seemed like a party of sorts. Everyone was dressed immaculately. Made him stand out with his jeans and shirt. “Sir, this is a private party.” A small girl, around twenty gathered the courage to speak to a mountain like man. A man everyone in the hall hadn't stopped staring at. “I am aware fille. I am here to pick up ami.” She nodded in understanding. “Do you know anyone by the name of Kron?” The little girl's blush indicated that she was aware. Why wouldn't she be? Wherever Kron went, he left a wake of admirers behind. “I believe he's here somewhere Sir.” Both Buer and the girl looked around, trying to spot him in the crowd. Shouldn't be a hard task as the man was built like a bear. Just like himself and Stor. “It okay mon cher. I will look for him.” His temper was almost at the soaring point when he left the hotel, leaving decisions of important matters of the kingdom in Louis’ hand. Having to search for Kron made things much more worse. Stor was right. Buer should have let the putain die. (fille - girl, ami - friend, putain - w***e) Buer had almost checked the whole place. Resorted to calling Kron whose phone was unavailable. It was almost one in the night now. The most logical way to track him would be through his scent. But the amount of artificial scents in the hall was too much. Mixed it with was sweat and make up. It was clouding his senses. Buer was sure that Kron was here, he just had to find him. Buer had walked the large hall and found nothing. The only places left were the balcony and the toilets. That was one place he didn’t want to check. Nothing prepared him for the sight in the balcony. His ange was in front of him. She was facing outside, away from him. Unlike Saturday, today she was in a long maroon dress and her face was much clearer. None of the make-up products she was wearing that day. Her short hair was tied in what he knew was called a ponytail. Overall, she looked simply stunning. His agne. “August?” He called out to her. Wanting to see her beautiful face clearly. “Hi.” In that moment it was just the two of them. He could feel her heartbeat accelerate, the blush coating her cheeks. “Is your leg fine.” He could see that she was wearing normal shoes. “Yes, it’s much better.” She looked at him with big bright sun shade eyes, a small giggle escaping her des lèvres charnues. (des lèvres charnues- plump lips) “What are you doing here?” This was no place for a young girl like here, especially not with Kron around. “I am looking for my boss. He said he would be back in some time.” She kept glancing at the watch. It was beyond acceptable time for her to stay out considering that she may have school or college tomorrow. “I am looking for my friend.” As he said the statement, things made sense. Buer went to the one place that was left to check. As suspected the room was locked. “Kron open the door now. Kron?” When he wasn’t able to hear anything except some moans, he simply broke the lock. Beside him, his ange gasped. Then hid her face in his shirt. His hand automatically went to her waist. Holding her near himself. In front of him were her boss and Kron. Both with their pants down as they struggled to hold their pleasure. Buer should have made August wait in the balcony.
