I took the sight of Dad away when our conversation was over. I went to Katherine to see what she's doing. Her eyes were on the computer screen but it seemed like her mind were somewhere else. I stood behind her with my hands in my pocket. I know she didn't realize I was standing near her.
"Did you confirm my attendance for business conference with Mr. Ariola today?" I asked in my deep voice. She almost fell off her seat in shock. Coffee spilled on her table but she immediately wiped with tissue paper. And then she turned her swivel chair facing me.
