CHAPTER 38. Eva's POV. I struggled to escape as far as I could. I was limping at first but slowly I felt my wounds healing. I refused to look back as I kept running deeper and deeper into the forest. I looked around the forest and I had no idea where I was. It was an unfamiliar area and it confused me greatly because the trees were of the same height and there was hardly any difference in the areas as I ran. Where I was running to that I couldn't tell but I had to run away from them, all of them. I raced barefooted, the cracks of the dry leaves could be heard under my feet and the sharp stones that cut through my flesh but I wasn't bothered about it.
