Annie's POV
The car slowed down in front of the tall glass building, and I felt my breath catch without meaning to. I tilted my head back, my eyes moving slowly up the structure.
The company logo sat boldly at the top, impossible to miss.
The moment we stepped out of the car, everything changed. Voices rose at once.
"Good morning, sir."
"Welcome back, Mr. Grey."
"It's good to have you back.”
People straightened as we passed. Some smiled. Some stared. Others whispered his name like they were confirming it was really him.
Grey didn't slow down. He walked like the place had been waiting for him. His family were all waiting for us inside. I followed beside him, trying not to look overwhelmed, but my heart was beating faster than my steps.
So Apexlux really belongs to him.
