For days the hotels have been jammed with reporters, ex-rebels and various state officials intent on witnessing the trial. Yesterday, the country people began arriving—in wagons, buggies, and on horseback—adding more confusion to the scene. By eleven o’clock, when the trial was scheduled to begin, the courthouse square was so crowded with people that Judge Good saw fit to postpone the proceedings so they could be moved to the Opera House where more spectators could be accommodated.
