Mr. Editors,
The absurd policies of Ewing have again brought about the murder of innocents. He has imprisoned our women without charge and only because they were the wives and mothers of patriotic men. He threw them in a dark jail in Kansas City and were that not enough, he brought about a so-called accident in which my own sisters and a half dozen other of these ladies were crushed to death and a dozen more horribly crippled to never be the same again.
And this is not the end of it.
Just last month there entered my band a young man named Jesse James from Clay. He is a boy not sixteen years of age, and what do the Federals do to such innocents?
