“Greetings, Ms. Thellitophia, your grandfather was a great friend of my father long ago. Welcome! Please, make yourself at home, and pardon the state of the mansion—my maids are currently on vacation,” said a beautiful, elderly woman with a warm smile. This was Mrs. Bea Villamor, the second wife of the esteemed Mr. Kareem Villamor.
“It’s truly a pleasure to visit you, Mrs. Villamor. This is my first time in the country since I spent my childhood overseas. My grandfather had shared countless stories about you,” Allura said, offering a polite yet simple smile before bowing slightly as she stepped further into the opulent mansion.
The Villamor group undoubtedly stands as the richest conglomerate in the nation, a fact clearly reflected in the lavish interiors of
their mansion, where even the furniture sparkled with the glint of rubies and emeralds adorning them. Yet, amidst the splendor, Allura had overheard a rather unfortunate detail— their son seemed to lack any semblance of intelligence. Allura caught him muttering to himself, fully aware of his own shortcomings. Strangely, there was something almost commendable about his self-awareness.
“Mom! I’m heading to the cafeteria near the university, so please don’t try to find me!” Shaun shouted, his voice echoing through the grand halls as he made his way down the stairs.
“Oh, the center of attention at the university! What brings you here, miss? Looking for a job?” he remarked with an air of condescension.
“Do I give off the impression of poverty, Mr. Shaun? I’ve heard you’re quite the underachiever in your classes. Perhaps you should focus on finding a tutor rather than just sipping coffee,” Allura replied sharply, watching as he pouted and made a slow exit from the room.
“HAHAHA! That was epic, Ms. Thellitophia! No one in this household ever dares to tell him off since he just makes fun of everyone,” Mrs. Bea laughed, seemingly unaware of the seriousness of the situation.
“You might want to reprimand him every now and then, Mrs. Bea. Otherwise, you could end up with a rather foolish heir someday. Now, let’s get down to business.”
“I never imagined you to be this serious, Ms. Thellitophia. But yes, please, proceed with your business” Mrs. Bea replied, her tone shifting to something more accommodating.
“Owh yeah about that, could you please come a bit closer? My voice isn’t at its best today, and I can’t raise it much louder,” Allura asked, maintaining a calm demeanor.
Allura obliged, stepping closer to hear her better. This proximity was ideal; Allura seized the opportunity to use her mind control abilities, ensuring Bea would follow her requests without question. With the mansion empty, Allura felt an array of advantages at her disposal. While the inside may have felt empty, she knew the outside world was under her influence.
Before coming inside the mansion, Allura made sure that the guards outside were under her spell. She cast mind control so that the guards wouldn’t mind them if there would be a commotion inside the mansion.
“Please ask your husband to come home; I have something I need to discuss with him as well,” Allura said with a disarming smile.
This task turned out to be simpler than she had anticipated. She expected a far more challenging encounter, considering humans can be so stubborn and clever. Yet, with half of her plans successfully set in motion, she found the situation both enjoyable and within her grasp.
Moments later, the door swung open to reveal Mr. Kareem Villamor. Allura stood up and addressed him.
“I’m pleased you could come see me, Mr. Kareem. Mrs. Bea is in the kitchen preparing tea.”
Before sitting down, clever Mr. Kareem suspected that something is unusual.
“This is quite unusual since my wife doesn’t typically summon me home simply because someone wants to see me,” he remarked, eyeing her with caution.
“Understand, Mr. Kareem, I am not just an ordinary individual, I am the granddaughter of the person who helped you reach heaven.” Allura said.
Recognizing a similar strictness in him that reminded me of Ace. He had that same stubborn air.
Kareem calmed down and paid respect to Allura. Minutes of chitchat, Kareem fell under Allura’s trap and got controlled.
Bea walked toward them with a tea in her hand.
“Now that both of you are here, let’s cut to the chase. I’ve heard rumors that the Villamor Group is planning to take over the government next year. Honestly, I see no reason why you shouldn’t seize control of the country, Mr. Kareem. You’re sharp, talented, and you’ve successfully built an impressive array of establishments under your name. I have a proposal that I think you will find intriguing.”
Hours of discussion and it reaches 10pm.
"It's truly an honor to be welcomed by such influential figures in Masoumah. The warmth of the Villamor’s hospitality is unmatched, but I must take my leave. Thank you both for this enchanting evening, and I wish you a wonderful night ahead, Mr. and Mrs. Villamor."
This mission is way too easy; I’m getting a hang of this. Unfortunately, Shaun left the house, and Allura wasn’t able to complete the mission, but thinking that Shaun is clueless, he won’t be a bother to them.
With a sigh, Allura opted to take a stroll for some fresh air. The night was calm, or at least it was until she ventured into the desolate alleyway. As she walked, an unsettling sensation crept over her; like a pair of unseen eyes were tracking her every move. The ambiance shifted dramatically—the wind picked up speed, whipping around me with an almost furious intensity, and then there was this overpowering stench. Was that… a werewolf?! In a cramped alleyway like this? What a bizarre scenario to find myself in.
Out of nowhere, the werewolf lunged at her, knocking her down onto the cold, hard ground. Pain erupted across her face as its claws tore into my skin, leaving a deep, bleeding gash. Allura managed to shove the beast away enough to regain her footing and readied to retaliate, but then it got her. It bit her arm at precisely the worst moment, under the full moon's gaze. Everyone knows werewolves are at their strongest during those nights. But it made a grave mistake attacking Allura. She had control over this moon. In a quick flash, Allura turned the full moon into an eclipse. The transformation was instantaneous, and the werewolf before her began to morph into a human. To her surprise, he turned out to be incredibly handsome, but that was the least of her concerns; he was about to be reduced to ashes. Just as she prepared to unleash her flames and send the werewolf back to hell, David appeared, blocking her path.
"Dumb werewolf!” David exclaimed, his frustration bubbling to the surface as he glared at the snarling creature.
“If you don’t mind, I know you can use fire, so please, just use it to chase this b***h away,” David added, urgency threading through his voice.
“Stupid! I was about to do that when you suddenly popped up in front of me! Move!” Allura snapped back, feeling the heat of her power surge within her. With a decisive gesture, Allura unleashed a torrent of flames, watching with grim satisfaction as the wolf writhed in agony before disintegrating into a cloud of ashes.
“How did you know that I can use fire? I haven’t shown anyone this ability since I think it’s dangerous,” Allura asked, curiosity mingling with surprise.
“You’re trying to keep it under wraps, but you’re not being careful about it. I once caught a glimpse of you training alone, pushing the limits, and recklessly wielding your fire. And it’s not just that—I also know you can control minds and the moon,” David revealed, his gaze softening.
“You don’t have to hide anything from me, Alli. We’ve been through so much together for thirteen years. You’re important to me, more than you know. I would do anything to keep you safe, even if it means taking on the entire werewolf clan by myself. Even if it costs me my life, I’d do it all to protect you.”
Wow, this guy really knows how to pull at the heartstrings.
“I never knew you could say such things, David! HAHAHA. Cringe, yuc—” Allura’s playful banter was abruptly cut short when she heard the unmistakable sound of something plastic hitting the ground with a thud.
It’s Ace! How long had he been lurking there? The thought made her stomach drop. If he saw this entire exchange, it could ruin everything!
