GIDEON'S POV
I heard the loud, commanding voice as clear as crystal before I actually saw him. It seemed a few guards had tried to get in his way and with only a few threats, he had managed to scare them all away.
A few seconds later, Julian was at my door. My ever loyal beta.
His eyes were wide as he stared at me, taking in how much I had changed since I fell ill.
While I hated that he'd had to carry the weight of the pack on his shoulders all of a sudden and ensure peace remained during these times, I was however not worried because I knew my pack was in good hands.
