FREYA'S POV
I had always held a small fraction of distrust for Julian.
Granted, he had done so much to keep us all safe in Sera's cabin, but it was not so easy to completely forgive the same man who had slapped me so hard for something that wasn't my fault. He had no idea what had actually happened then and was just carrying out his duty as beta, but none of those facts had cleared the pain of that day.
Now that I was convinced he had earned my complete trust, I concluded that he deserved to know the whole truth; that I was not just marked by the Alpha, but I was also pregnant for him.
Julian stood stiffly, staring back at me with cold dark eyes after I had told him everything. His jaw was tight and his knuckles around the water mug were completely white.
