KATHERINE I drove my car and parked a little far from the place. I didn’t want anyone to see me. My heart was beating really fast. Like, really really fast. I was so scared but I had to do this. I looked through the windshield. The delivery bus was already gone. I groaned. “Ugh, why now?” I muttered. I hated being late. I got out anyway. My feet made soft noises on the ground. Everything was quiet. The streets were empty. No one was around. I kept walking slowly, looking at the shops and stalls. I felt like someone was watching me. I pulled my hood over my head more. I didn’t want anyone to see me. Then I bumped into someone. I almost fell. “Ah!” I squeaked. I looked up. It was Rowan. “Rowan!” I whispered. “Where were you? I thought I was gonna die or something!” He didn’t answer.
